Divine Guidance

Ps.31: For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.”

You need divine guidance to fulfill your destiny. We all need divine guidance to fulfill our destinies. From that story, we see two aspects of divine guidance

– firstly, guidance from the Word and secondly, guidance from God’s habitation. If you are to fulfill your destiny, you need both guidance from the Word and guidance from God’s habitation.

Guidance from the Word of God: For you to fulfill your destiny and become all that God has created you to be, you need guidance from the Word of God. The wise men had been following the star but they got to Jerusalem and could not find the star and it caused a pandemonium. In fact, the Bible says that they turned Jerusalem upside down searching, “Where is He that is born King of the Jews?” and there was confusion everywhere. So, Herod called the scribes and the scholars and they referred to the Word and got guidance from the Word. As you exit 2018 and go into 2019, you need to take collaborative Bible study seriously. There is a place for individual study but collaborative Bible study will be a key to destiny fulfillment. So they needed to collaborate before they found guidance.

The wise men started off their journey with guidance from God’s habitation. God showed them a sign, a leading, and they followed it. Just like the wise men’s experiences, sometimes when God is leading us, it appears as though we cannot find him and that can really be a challenge. It was as if the star had hidden itself. When it seems as if God has hidden Himself, it is time to look into the Word of God. When it seems as though you can no longer find the star, it is time to get guidance from His Word. Guess what? When you get into the Word, when you plug in to Life Group and engage in collaborative Bible study, as you share your experience of God with other believers and they share their own experience with you, as you meditate on scriptures, all of a sudden the star reappears. When they found guidance from the Word and they moved in that direction, the star reappeared.

Prayer: Jesus, as I hang out with You – The Living Word, guide me, in Jesus Name. Amen!
