Purposeful Engagement

Luke 10:^18-19 (NKJV) And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Combat or fighting is defined as a purposeful violent conflict meant to weaken, establish dominance over, or destroy the opposition, or to drive the opposition away from a location where it is not wanted or needed. Take note of the three words highlighted in this definition. You have to fight but your fighting has to be purposeful, violent and there will be conflict. When you apply this definition of fighting to the delivery of your destiny, it means in the delivery of your destiny, you have to engage in purposeful violent conflict in other to achieve four things.

1. Weaken The Opposition: You need to be purposeful and engage to weaken the opposition against your destiny, health, finances, family, marriage, children, business, and your career.
2. Establish Dominance: Beyond weakening the opposition, the purposeful violent conflict is so that you can establish dominance in your career, business, and marriage. Take marriage for example, establishing dominance would mean destroying every little Mrs. Potiphar. You need to engage in purposeful violent conflict in order to establish dominance in the marketplace and that in essence is spiritual warfare. It will interest you to know that one of the most spiritually active places is the marketplace. If you will, when going to the market, you can ask God to open your eyes. The marketplace is a war zone, do not let the enemy deceive you. You have to get into the market with force and establish your dominance by force. Economists will tell you that there are market forces called demand and supply. They also talk about scarcity as a market force. They talk about scarcity; when there is a lot of supply demands drops, when supply is short demand rises. The truth is there are spiritual forces that determine market prices, even of crude oil. Some people like to deceive themselves that everyone in the market place is their friend. Do not be deceived. God wants you to establish dominance.
3. Destroy and Crush the Opposition: Again, you need to understand that ‘the opposition’ means spiritual forces and not human beings. But interestingly, spiritual forces cannot operate without human beings.

Prayer:  Father, in Jesus Name, I stand as You have anointed me, let every opposition crumble before me. I establish my dominance in my sphere of influence, in Jesus Name. Amen.
