Watch It!

Josh.1:8 (VOICE)Let the words from the book of the law be always on your lips. Meditate on them day and night so that you may be careful to live by all that is written in it. If you do, as you make your way through this world, you will prosper and always find success.” [with emphasis]

We have spent the past four days learning about the power in the Spoken Word of God and how to deploy it as a deadly punch to the enemy. There is power in the spoken Word of God that you know. Knowing means the Word of God that is resident not in your conscious mind alone but in your subconscious mind. Before I got saved, I was a little bit troublesome [just a little bit]. My friends gave me the nickname that had the word ‘scopio’ appended to it. When I got saved and I learned from God’s Word that I am to trample upon serpents and scorpions. Then one day, an old friend saw me and greeted me with the nickname. I politely stopped him and said, I trample upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. Do not call me ‘scopio’, instead call me a lion.

I know that some people would term that as being obnoxious. It may not be politically correct but my question to you is, are you going to mortgage your destiny over political correctness? Even Jesus had to deal with this, one of Jesus’s best friends was Peter. Peter was one of His most reliable friends. When everyone else turned their backs on Jesus, Peter followed Him, even though it was from a distance. Peter said to Jesus, “You will not go to the cross!” Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get thee behind me satan!” That was Jesus saying to the devil, this is my calling, my destiny, you are not going to cage my destiny. This was Peter Jesus was talking to, right? How could he look at Peter and call him the adversary, satan? Jesus knew who was really speaking. Do not get me wrong, I have not said you should look at people and call them satan. What I am saying is reject what they say that is not in line with your destiny.

When the enemy sees that he cannot curse or limit you by using his people outside, or by using people around you, note that he is going to try to use you to stop yourself. One of the ways in which the enemy does this is by putting people under pressure consistently. And when people are under pressure they say all sorts of things, many times negate things about themselves, about their future, about their spouses, about their children, and about their lives. Do not do it! People make careless statements like, “I am finished!” No, you are not. Will there be days when everything looks gloomy and things are going in every direction. What you should say is, all is well! [2 kings 4:8-37].

Thought: Pay attention to what you say when you are under pressure.

Prayer: Lord, may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to You,
O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer, in Jesus Name. Amen! [Ps.19:14]
