His Own

Rev.4:11 (KJV) “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

This season in the life of the church is known as the Easter season. The season of Christ’s passion and suffering. But beyond the passion and suffering of Christ, this season is about the resurrection of Jesus. The resurrection of Jesus is why you and I can stand today. Please read Matt.21:1-11. I pray in the Name of Jesus that God will do such mighty work in your life that there will be an uproar. When people ask, “who is this?” others will respond, “the child of Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee”.

How would you respond? If you had two cars, one is brand new and one that you have been using for a while. Then someone shows up and while he is attempting to drive the brand-new car away, you see him and stop him. Immediately, even before you speak, he says, the Lord has need for it. It is easy to gloss over this portion of scripture, but this is what it would translate to in present times. Jesus said, “Tell them that the Lord has need for the donkeys and the person will let you go.” And that was exactly what happened. Who can make such a demand apart from the Owner of heavens and the earth, the Creator of the donkeys and the owner of the donkeys?

I am excited because if God has need of you, no one can lay hold on you. If God has need of you, there is no generational curse that can tie you down. Jesus is saying to whatever seems to be a limitation in your life today, “Let him go, let her go, I have need of him and her.” The question is, does the Lord have need of you, are you useful to God? If you are useful to God, then you are breaking free because the Lord has need of you. Just as no one could stop the disciples from taking the donkeys, nothing and no one will be able to stop God’s purpose for your life, in Jesus Name.

The Easter season is a very significant one for me because we got the land God’s Favourite House HQ sits on a day after Palm Sunday that year. At some point in the negotiation during a meeting with the former owner of the property, I stopped, looked directly at him and said, “The Lord has need of this land.” His response was, “That was the sermon preached in my church”. Long story short, the Lord has taken possession of the land. There are things you need to look in the eye today and say, the Lord has need of you. Some of us it is our spouse, or our children, or our finances we need to look at and say, “The Lord, the Living King, has need of you!”

Prayer (hymn): All to Jesus I surrender. All to Him I freely give; I will ever love and trust Him, in His presence daily live. I surrender all (2x), All to Thee, my blessed Saviour… Amen!
