Fully Clad
Eph. 6:15-17 (MSG) “Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon”
Eph.6:15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.” If you want to walk in the supernatural. If you want to see the power of the Holy Spirit unleashed in your life, preach the gospel. If you want to be anointed, evangelize, tell people about Jesus. Jesus came, He died, and He rose again. Evangelism unleashes the undeniable power in the gospel of Christ. The Bible says we will trample upon serpents and scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy (Luke 10:19, Ps.91:13). The word trample suggests that it is under your feet. If you attempt to trample on scorpions without shoes on, you are asking for trouble.
In God’s armor, the shoes are the gospel of peace. When was the last time you talked to someone about Jesus? When was the last time you invited someone to church? When was the last time you prodded someone that was far from God to get close to God? That is how powerful you are in the spirit realm. The shoes of the gospel of peace keep you fully prepared. Eph.6:16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.” (emphasis added). The shield of faith again speaks of Christ, the author and the finisher of our faith. You quench the arrows of the enemy by faith. The enemy sends an arrow to you in your dream, you quench it by faith, by Christ. You stand in your place and you quench the fiery arrows of the devil by faith.
Eph.6:17 “Put on salvation as your helmet…” The Bible says that Christ is our salvation. The helmet covers our minds; it protects us from mind attacks, protects us from fear, and from anxiety. The mind, like they say, is the battle field. If you find that so many things are going on in your mind, check your helmet of salvation. Is your helmet intact, are you wearing it? Eph.6:17 “…and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” This is the last piece of the armor; the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. The sword of the Spirit is God’s Word in your mouth. It is an attacking piece. John 1:1-3 “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.” The sword of the Spirit is Jesus. The entire armor of God is Jesus. When Paul says in Rom.13:14 (KJV) “…put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ…”, it is the same as saying put on the armor of God. So, I urge you to put on Christ.
Prayer: Father, by faith I put on truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation and from today I make Your Word priority in my life, in Jesus Name. Amen!
