Surplus

Isa. 35:6-7 “The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will sing for joy! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland. The parched ground will become a pool, and springs of water will satisfy the thirsty land…”

God is a God of abundance. Lack [poverty] is inconsistent with the nature of God. Check the Bible, every time God had to meet a need, He goes over and above even when it is not necessary. The same God that needed Peter’s boat to preach, ignored Peter’s boat, and walked on water. This same God fed five thousand people and there were twelve baskets left over. Why does He, God, do that? He anoints my head with oil but why does He not stop when my cup gets full? It is because He is a God of the overflow. God does not stop pouring until our cup overflows.

However, it is important to know that you cannot only pray yourself into abundance. You have to give yourself into abundance. I can only give you what I have, so please pay attention. Peter and John were at the Beautiful Gate and a blind man asked them for money. Maybe they did not have money, or maybe they felt they had something more precious than money. Something that will be more useful for the man. They said to the man, “Silver and gold I have none, that which I have I give unto you…” [Acts 3:6]. You cannot give what you do not have. The world can ‘out-party’ us, the world can ‘out-sin’ us, the world can ‘out-entertain’ us, but the world should never ‘out-give’ us. The Church should be the greatest givers on earth. Through the Church, we should eradicate poverty really and truly, not just mouth it. It comes by honouring God. If you are on transgenerational wealth, you cannot understand this because you do not know what it is to make wealth for yourself. If you are on transgenerational wealth, what will happen is, a time will come when daddy and mummy will not be there anymore. So, you will have to make wealth for yourself, then you will need these things I am teaching you.

As God brings you into the overflow, the first thing you need to do is honour God. The second thing you need to do is guard your heart. You need to guard your heart. Prov. 4:23 (AMPC, added word) “Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs (streams) of life.” If your heart is right, your future is bright. Guard your heart; some things will try to pollute your heart, things will try to contaminate your heart. Guard your heart. Some things will try to put fear, doubt, and division in your heart. Guard your heart because out of it flows the streams of life. If you look at the word stream(s), it means a continuous flow of water. The keyword there is continuous. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, your streams will be continuous. For some people reading this today, it is not like you do not have streams in your life, but the streams are intermittent [seasonal]. Such streams dry up at certain times and flow at certain times. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, your streams will not be intermittent again. Your streams will be consistent in Jesus Mighty Name.

Prayer: Father, according to Your Word, “…Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams water the wasteland…” manifest in my life, in Jesus Name. Amen!
