Come Flourishing!

1 Cor.15:42-43 “…Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever.  Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength.” (emphasis added).

I can imagine the scene; Jesus was taken to the cross and the disciples were thinking, “He told us last night that He would be alive, and we will come alive.” Instead, they saw Jesus crucified on the cross. They must have felt deflated, this was nothing like the great things they had imagined. Like them, we too have had dreams and aspirations based on what Jesus Himself told us. But we look at the cross and it is as though those dreams have been crucified. While you watched, you were so sure that the dreams will get off the cross, but that did not happen. Instead, the dream was buried. At the point at which Jesus was buried, the disciples lost hope. They were scared and they locked themselves up. The enemies of Jesus rejoiced when He was buried. They mandated the tomb to be guarded because they thought that was the end. Even those on the side of Jesus Christ, like you and I, thought that was the end.

Most times, when things are buried in our lives, we think it to be the end. I have been sent to say to you today that, that dream is going to come alive again, in the Name of Jesus. Please read 1 Cor.15:20-28, 35-38, 41-44. 1Cor.15: 36 …When you put a seed into the ground, it doesn’t grow into a plant unless it dies first.” Unfortunately, sometimes the things that we are holding on to so dearly, die. Jesus died and Jesus was buried. But Jesus did not stay in the grave! Your dream will not stay in the grave. Your destiny will not stay in the grave. 1 Cor. 2:8 But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord.” If the enemy had known the difference between being buried and being planted, the enemy would not have crucified Jesus and buried Him. Huge mistake.

When the enemy thought he was burying Jesus, heaven was making the enemy plant Jesus. Jesus was not buried, He was planted. And because He was planted, today there is a bountiful harvest of people that are called by His Name. There are at least three billion people on earth today, calling the Name of Jesus because He was planted. The things you think are buried are just planted. They are going to multiply! Release your faith! Everything concerning your life and destiny that is of God and has been apparently buried, will encounter resurrection power this season and will come alive again. Today’s scripture reference speaks of our future resurrection. However, Jesus is saying to you and I today what He said to Martha at the tomb of Lazarus in John 11:40 “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” Only believe! Why? Because Jesus is alive and well.

Prayer [song]: I believe in Jesus. I believe He is the Son of God. I believe He died and rose again. I believe He paid for us all. And I believe He’s here now, standing in our midst. Here with the power to heal now, and the grace to forgive. Amen!
