In Light

Eph.1:¹⁸ “I pray that the light of  God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling—that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!”(TPT) 

We kick-off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday; every kingdom that has tried to extinguish the Church expired and the Church continued. The Roman Empire collapsed; the Church is still alive today with billions of members all over the world. It is a futile effort trying to stop the Church, it is unstoppable. Even today, the only punching bag some people have is the Church. They will soon discover that it is difficult to kick against the pricks. Anyone who tries eventually terminates himself or herself. Darkness can never overcome the light of God in you – never! It is impossible. John 1:^4-5 “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it” (KJV/NLT).

Darkness can never overcome God’s light. When you bring the life of God into your situation, the light of God enters that situation and no force of hell can stop you. The light of God is so powerful that if all the demons on earth gather together, they are not enough. The light will break through. Check history, every attack on the Church always makes the Church stronger – every single one! People make up the church, right? So, by extension, every attack on God’s people will only make them stronger. If you are rooted in the life of God, that life will bring light, and that light will overcome darkness every single time. I am so confident because God can never fail – never! All I need to do is to secure His life and His presence.

All I need to do is to secure the life of God and that life will bring light, and that light will overpower darkness. In our time, darker forces still struggle to overcome the light. Larger, more powerful kingdoms, war against the light but they too are predestined to fail. From the beginning, from before they started, they have been predestined to fail. This is why Paul says, “We are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us.” [Rom.8:37]. Paul knew what he was talking about because there is no way you encounter the life of God that you will remain in darkness. That life will bring light and there is no way the presence of that Light will not overpower darkness – there is no way! Who is the witch in the village, where is he or she coming from? He or she will bow! We know Whom we have believed.

Interestingly, some of my friends in the Western world believe that Christianity in Africa is different. African Christians have to battle with witches and all. The truth is, Christianity is the same everywhere in the world. The Word of God is true everywhere in the world. When I begin to expose the work of darkness in the Western world, they get very quiet. The enemy wants you to be ignorant and believe he does not exist so that he can destroy you. Ignorance is darkness. We are not unmindful of his schemes and devices, but they will fail in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer: Father, let Your life in me bring light to every area of my life and cause me to experience victory in every step, in Jesus Name. Amen!
