Joshua 21:^43&45 “And the Lord gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein… There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

Examine the following scriptures; Ps.105:^18-19 “They bruised his feet with fetters and placed his neck in an iron collar. Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.” (emphasis added). Luke 1:⁸⁰ “And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.” We can clearly see the process John went through, when the time came for John’s showing, he had grown. On the other hand, Joseph showed himself before he grew. The key thing is if you show yourself before growing you will have to grow with fetters, chains, brutality, and the pain of slavery. But you will still show after you have grown. Do not show before you grow, show after you grow.

So, you have a choice of where you want to grow; you can grow in the wilderness before you show, or you can grow in the prison and then show. Whichever way, you will grow and if you are committed and loyal to God like Joseph and John were, you are going to fulfil your destiny. However, ‘how’, is up to you. Will you stay in the wilderness with God, where nothing is happening but you are growing? And when the time comes for showing you are ready. Or do you want to open your mouth and announce your dreams and visions and then face the battles, and prison? God will still be with you inside the prison, comforting you. As a child of God, it is always your time; it is always your time to grow.

This may surprise you, but it is so in God’s plan for you, and you need to get it. It is always your time to enjoy, regardless of what you are going through. Regardless of the season, you are in, it is always God’s will for you to have fun. Is this even scriptural? Yes, it is, and I will show you; Phil.4:⁴ “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice”. God wants you to be full of joy and you to have fun regardless of what is happening around you. Even though it is not time for that thing, it is your time. You may be trusting God for the fruit of the womb or to have more children. Even though it appears that it is not time for that thing, but it is your time to rejoice. And that is what God wants for you because of all He is bringing your way.

God tells us what we should anticipate while we are rejoicing in Ps.105:⁴⁴ “When the time was right, He gave them land from other nations and they took possession of the wealth of the peoples” (The Voice, NRSV). You may be wondering how you can make headway, but God says He will make way for you. For example, God has promised to give you a house in the highbrow part of town. Being a man or woman of faith, you drive there only to discover that people have all the land there. God is saying, when the time comes, all the houses they are building, they are going to donate it to you. You will buy everything, break it down and build your own. Rejoice!
