Stand

Ephesians 6:13 “…and having done all, to stand.” (NKJV)

When have you felt the lowest in your life and how did you handle it? Or are you at what you will consider your lowest right now? God has a Word for you in season. Philippians 4:4 Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! ” This is God’s heart, Read the rest of this entry

Isa.12:4 “Thank the Lord and praise his name! Tell the world about his wonderful love!”(LB, emphasis added).

Ps.147:7Sing out your thanks to him; sing praises to our God.” (LB, emphasis added). We are to sing out our thanks to God. You cannot be singing, ‘God, You are the greatest! Unrestrained Joy!

Matt.2:10 “And when they saw the star, they were so ecstatic that they shouted and celebrated with unrestrained joy.”

The first joy killer during Christmas and beyond is anxiety. Mary chose to trust God and her anxiety melted, and she was filled with joy. The second joy killer is resentment over hurt or bitterness. Are you going to be better or are you going to be bitter? Read the rest of this entry

New Chapter

Isa. 43:18-19 “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (NKJV).

Joy & Peace

Gal. 5:22-23 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!”

The joy that overflows, is a component of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. I was reading the work of a renowned theologian Thomas Aquinas, and he said something very profound. He says, “God is happiness by His Essence: for He is happy not by acquisition or participation of something else, but by His Essence. On the other hand, men are happy by acquisition or participation.” Read the rest of this entry

The Exchange III

Isa.61:3 “To all who mourn in Zion, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, oil of joy instead of mourning, a garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” (NLT & NIV]

God is trading His beauty for our ashes and He is doing it in every area. We are going from barrenness to Fruitfulness, from sorrow to Joy, from bondage to Freedom, from loss to Recovery, from death to Life, from poverty to Wealth, and from shame to Honour. Read the rest of this entry

Cheer Up!

Ps.63:5 “You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.”

The mystery about life is that there would always be something missing. Yes, Jesus says our joy will be full and it will. However, when that joy is full, there is always a higher level. Read the rest of this entry

Get Wisdom

Philip4:6 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Relax! God is God and you are not. If you carry the whole world on your head what is left for Jesus to carry? That is His job not yours! The man who discovered the concept of stress was a medical scientist. Read the rest of this entry
