His Might
Zec. 4:6 “He said, “This is the message from the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Your help will not come from your own strength and power. No, your help will come from my Spirit.’ This is what the Lord All-Powerful says.” (ERV)
Luke 6:12 “One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night.” Jesus was there all night. Not only does midnight prayer open your heavens, but it also gives you supernatural strength and it affects your physical strength. Why was Samson so physically strong? It is because he was so spiritually anointed. Jesus was so physically strong, He did things that require strength. David was so physically strong; he could bend a bow with his hands. Why? It is because when you spend time in the presence of God, not only will you get stronger spiritually, you get stronger physically, and you get strength intellectually. When you spend time in the presence of God, you are oozing with strength.
We see a classic example in 1Kings 18:46 “Then the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab’s chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel” (emphasis added). Chariots are usually pulled by horses, and the horses of kings are the finest horses, the strongest, and the fastest horses. But because of his strength, Elijah outran the king’s horses. The New International Version puts it this way, “The power of the Lord came on Elijah…” (emphasis added). In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, as you engage God in this season even as the year comes to an end, the power of the Lord will come upon you in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
The King James Version puts it this way, “And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah…” (emphasis added). The hand of the Lord will rest upon you in the Mighty Name of Jesus. The Voice Translation says, “The strength of the Eternal filled Elijah. The prophet pulled up his garment around his thighs and sprinted ahead of Ahab the entire way to Jezreel” (emphasis added). In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the strength of the Eternal will fill your life. People will look at you and say the strength of the Eternal is upon you. Deut.28:12 “The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none” (NIV).
The Lord will open the heavens over you, the storehouse of His bounty in the Mighty Name of Jesus. God will send you rain in your land in this season and bless all the works of your hands. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow from any in the Name of Jesus. This will and is your portion in the Mighty Name of Jesus. I want to encourage you to commit in this season to engage, to get up at midnight to praise and to pray and see God move. Make a commitment to secure your territory, no matter what season of life you are in.
Prayer: Father, I am ready, help me to flush the excuses and begin to engage and give it what it takes. You are the God of all grace, empower me, and give me your grace, in Jesus Name. Amen!
