1 Cor.2:9 “That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

As the year winds up and we prepare for the New year, we are going to deviate from the usual Christmas story to focus on an aspect that is dear to God’s heart. In God’s Favourite House, we have values that define our culture and one of our values is Risk Taking. We value risk taking; according to God’s Word, we believe that without faith it is impossible to please God and they that come to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him (heb.11:6). A mantra that flows from this value is No Small Dreams (N.S.D.). It is important for us to realize that the core of our faith, the core of our walk with God is a work of the supernatural. Where we take steps into places and things we have not seen and bring them to pass before we see them. Heb.11:1Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it” (NCV).

Gen.15:5-6Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him, “Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!” And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith.” God knew that Abraham had no way of physically counting and seeing all these stars. But God wanted Abraham to use his imagination, to use his mind’s eye to see and dream of how big his generations would be. God was saying to Abraham, in essence, No Small Dreams! In whatever area you are believing God for, God is saying to you today, No small dreams! If you are trusting God for the fruit of the womb, or for your finances, God is saying No Small Dreams! I want you to step out of your house tonight, look at the stars and begin to count them until your mind kicks in, regardless of the area you are trusting God for. Begin to count with your physical eyes until the eyes of your imagination kicks in. God is saying to you, that is how great you are going to be.

When we talk about dreaming, beyond what happens when you sleep and wake up, we are talking about seeing with the eyes of your mind, and or the eye of your spirit. As we look at dreaming over the next couple of days, we need to understand that we are talking about seeing with the inner eye, the eye of our mind, our imagination, the eye of your spirit. But sometimes God will use your physical eyes to provoke the eye of your mind to open which was what God did for Abraham. God said to Abraham, begin to count with your physical eyes, and that popped open his spiritual eyes. How do I know? Abraham saw you and I that is why we are here today. We are heirs of Abraham. Abraham saw farther than his eyes could see. Your mind’s eyes have to be open. No Small Dreams! So, in addition to counting the stars, I want to you write No Small Dreams on a sticky note and put on those things that seem impossible.

Prayer: Father, please open the eyes of my spirit, as I step out in faith in this season help me see the invisible, hear the inaudible, so that I can do the impossible, in Jesus Name. Amen.
