Unshakable

Heb.12:²⁷ “This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of what is shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.” (NRSV, emphasis added).

I pray that God will breathe upon us in His presence today, change our lives, take us higher in Him and cause His Word to come alive to us in Jesus Amazing Name. Amen. The truth about life and man is that man loves security and there is actually nothing wrong with that. However, the world is very fragile. A plague can come and threaten the entire civilization, throw economies into chaos, and put people’s lives under pressure. And we see from the Word of God that it is not unusual. God has told us about a shaking, and He has shown us the things that are unshakable.

Hebrews 12:²⁷ “By this he means that he will sift out everything without solid foundations so that only unshakable things will be left.” (LB). The Word of God is clear, what can be shaken will be shaken. Yet God says that there are things that cannot be shaken, and those things will remain. So, the question is what are the things that cannot be shaken? If we can anchor our lives on the things that cannot be shaken, our lives will be a whole lot safer as God would have it. What are the things that cannot be shaken? We are going to explore four things that cannot be shaken.

The first thing that cannot be shaken is the Throne of God. The throne of God cannot be shaken.

Psalm 45:⁶ “Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever…”. Lamentations 5:¹⁹ “But Lord, you remain the same forever! Your throne continues from generation to generation.” God’s throne continues from eternity to eternity. We see from the Word of God that the first thing that God has given us that cannot be shaken, is the throne of God. The throne of God is secure. The throne of God is established. The throne of God endures. The throne of God cannot be shaken. Psalm 46:^1-3 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” (NIV, emphasis added).

I do not know what you are going through right now. But I am here to say to you that God is your refuge and strength. He is your ever-present help in times of trouble. Psalm 46:^4-5 “A river brings joy to the city of our God, the sacred home of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.” (NLT/KJV). And because the throne of God cannot be shaken, the city of God cannot be moved.

Prayer: Father, because You are my solid foundation and You have established Your throne in my life, therefore, I am unshakable, in Jesus Name. Amen!
