Mind Blocks

Judges 6:^14-15 “Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!” “But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh…”

Yesterday, we established that barriers exist in the physical, mental, and spiritual. It is important to note that understanding the different areas these barriers exist is instrumental to actually breaking them. Spiritual barriers, for instance, Jericho had a spiritual barrier. The barrier was put there by Joshua and the barrier was removed by Elisha. You find the account in 2Kings 2:19-20. Physically, Jericho was a beautiful city. Although the city was beautiful, there was a barrier in the land. The water was bitter, and the land was unfruitful. But from generation to generation that limitation persisted. Until Elisha came and removed the barrier.

In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, every spiritual barrier that has been limiting you today will be removed. Another example of a spiritual barrier is seen in the life of Reuben, Jacob’s son who went into his father’s bed. And Jacob placed a spiritual barrier on Reuben (Genesis 49:3-4). Genesis 49:⁴ “Unstable as water, you shall not excel, and you shall be first no longer. I am demoting you, because you went up to your father’s bed; Then you defiled it—He went up to my couch.” (NKJV & LB, emphasis added). That is so huge. The words spoken by parents can actually constitute a spiritual barrier in the lives of children. Many people are struggling with words that have been spoken by a parent, words that have limited their growth and advancement.

Today, in the Name of Jesus, that barrier will be shattered. How do I even know that is possible? It is because every barrier placed by an earthly parent can be removed by a spiritual parent. Every barrier placed by an earthly father can be removed by a spiritual father. That is what happened in Reuben’s life. Jacob was Reuben’s physical father, but Moses was the spiritual father. Moses prayed in Deuteronomy 33:⁶ “Let Reuben live and not die, nor his people be few.” (NIV). And that was the beginning of the greatness of Reuben. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, every barrier that has been placed upon you by your father or your mother is hereby destroyed in the Mighty Name of Jesus. You will prosper and you will not be few in the Name of Jesus. So, people can have physical barriers, mental barriers, or spiritual barriers.

But the greatest barriers that you have to break to move into your next level are mental barriers. The job of the physical barrier and the spiritual barrier is to program the mind and establish a mental barrier. Once the mental barrier is established, the person goes into auto mode.

Prayer: Father, for the sake of Your Name, let every physical, spiritual, and mental barrier in my life be totally and completely broken, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
