Mysterious Plan

Matthew 27:⁴⁰ “Look at you now!” they yelled at him. “You said you were going to destroy the Temple and rebuild it in three days. Well then, if you are the Son of God, save yourself and come down from the cross!”

Imagine when Jesus was crucified and nailed to the cross, Satan and his host felt they had Him. And they were checking to see if Jesus would come down from the cross.

They tried to provoke Jesus. You saved others, save yourself, They mocked at Him, is He going to come down? But Jesus stayed on the cross. Stay on your cross because resurrection is coming. Stay on your cross because you are going to be resurrected. Jesus stayed on the cross. And when He gave up the ghost, they danced and rejoiced.

“We got Him! We got Him! He came to bruise the head of the serpent, but we got Him!” So, they threw a party in hell. That is why the scriptures say in 1 Corinthians 2:^7-8 “No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God—his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began. But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord.” They did not know, if they had known they would not have crucified Jesus. So, satan and his gang rejoiced at Jesus’ crucifixion. People are rejoicing at your crucifixion, just relax, and calm down because your resurrection is coming. But they do not know.

Jesus was in the grave day one, day two, then at the dawn of the third day, they must have been drinking themselves to stupor. And they heard a sound, it was the footsteps of Jesus. Then it appeared that it was not only one footstep but there were also other footsteps, the footsteps of the hosts of heaven. Satan called for a quick roll call, everybody is here, so who are those? Satan ran and sent one small demon to check who was coming. And the demon peeped and saw Jesus, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, resurrected! The demon ran back and said, you will not believe it. It is Jesus! At the mention of the Name of Jesus, all of them fell on their faces.

Satan gave the demon a knock, “I told you not to mention that Name here”. “But it is He!” “It is impossible! We killed Him and supervised His death!” The people who thought they supervised your downfall will be shocked at your resurrection! So, Satan instructed, “Fasten the locks, make sure He does come in!” Isaiah 14:²⁷ “For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?” (KJV).
