Vision Driven
Job 33:15 “He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds.” (emphasis added).
Job 33:18 “He protects them from the grave, from crossing over the river of death.” Again, I pray that God will protect you from the grave. I know someone who dodged something that was coming for him, and he was upset and crying because he lost a lot. And a wise man said to him, “So, you are crying because of the losses? This death was meant to cut off your head, but it took off only your cap. You should be grateful.” Imagine a bullet coming for your head, you see it and dodge it, but it takes off your cap. However, you still have a head. You can buy ten billion caps, so you should be grateful. Night vision protects from the grave. There are people who have crossed over the river of death, and they are just going. Night vision will protect you.
It is a new day! In fact, they tell us that the deepest sleep happens between midnight and three o’clock in the morning. It means that even people who don’t, at least they are at rest and preparing for the new day. And for those who stay up to engage and envision, they are positioning themselves. And night vision will keep you from crossing over to death. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you will see at night, even when it is dark, in that situation, you will see. In whatever area of your life that is dark right now, even though it is a new day, it is still dark. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, you will see clearly in that situation.
Vision and purpose are so powerful. In the Korean War, for example, the prisoners of war were separated into two camps. Now, this is very interesting, so stay with me. There were two types of prisons: a maximum-security prison and a minimum-security prison. Guess how they determined where to place each prisoner? They did a psychological profiling based on interview questions. They asked them, after the war, if you are set free, what would they do with their lives? A lot of them, because of their experience with the war and death, said they just wanted peace. Then they asked them, a piece of what exactly, cake, coconut, what?
The response was, I just want peace of mind. I just want to be with my family. Such prisoners were put in a minimum-security prison. However, the soldiers they interviewed, who were filled with purpose, sovereignty, and patriotism, were put in the maximum-security prison. And they said that soldiers who have vision are dangerous. The report also showed that a lot of the people in the minimum-security died of depression, anxiety, and disease. But most of the people in the maximum-security prisons escaped in spite of the heavy security presence.
Prayer: Father, by Your Spirit fill me with vision, in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
