The Rain
Deuteronomy 11:14-15 “Then he will send the rains in their proper seasons—the early and late rains—so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil. He will give you lush pastureland for your livestock, and you yourselves will have all you want to eat.”
When God wants to help a person sometimes, He hides it from everybody else. And by the time He is done helping you, people will say, “Where has she been? Who is he? Where is she from?” Just smile and say, “I am the one who has found mercy with God. I am the one who has received the mercy of God.” Joel 2:23-25 “Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” (KJV, emphasis added)
This season, you will experience the rain, and you will experience full restoration in the Mighty Name of Jesus. The rain signifies a couple of things. The rain signifies blessings. So, saying you will experience the rain means you will experience the blessings of God. And that is God’s will for you. In fact, the scripture goes on to say in Joel 2:26 “And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.” (KJV). So, having more than you need is God’s will for you. We are not going to mince words. People have said, “Pastor, if people are rich, they can go to hell.” And I say to them, “I don’t think so. I think poverty takes more people to hell.” God wants you to be abundantly wealthy, but you have to receive it (Say Amen).
The rain signifies life, growth, renewal, provision, and abundance. All this will be your portion in the Name of Jesus. In scripture, the rain also signifies the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit was released at Pentecost, it was the former rain. What we are experiencing now is the latter rain. What God is saying is that He will bring the two, the former and the latter, together. He will call it the rain, and He will release it into your life in the Name of Jesus. Everything that God is set to do in your life, nothing will stop it. The grass that insists that the elephant will not move will be crushed. Everything that has hindered you up until now will become like grass before an elephant. If they don’t shift, you will crush them. You will become completely unstoppable.
Prayer: Father, according to Your Word to me this season, I will experience the rain in abundance and every resistance will crumble before me, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
