Renewed

Mark 8:25-26 “Then Jesus placed his hands on the man’s eyes again, and his eyes were opened. His sight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly. Jesus sent him away, saying, “Don’t go back into the village on your way home.”

Just like the man’s sight was restored, your sight will be restored in the Name of Jesus. Beginning today, we will delve into three significances of restored sight. The first is Renewed Perception. When sight is restored, there is transformation in how you perceive the world. People who wear glasses will attest that the first time you get your glasses and you put them on, you see colours that you never saw before. Everything is bright and beautiful. When you get reading glasses, for example, you are amazed by how clear the letters are. Everything is beautiful and enjoyable. Therefore, because your sight is going to be restored, everything will be beautiful and enjoyable in the Name of Jesus.

When sight is restored, you move from Darkness to Light. You move from Limitations to Possibilities. And it is because when there is no light and the room is dark, even though you can move, you are moving with caution. You are taking baby steps, feeling your way around the room. But once you can see and the room is bright, you can even run through the room. You make significant progress, and your possibilities become endless. In the Name of Jesus, you will gain understanding and insight. Renewed perception leads to a deeper awareness of oneself. You see yourself clearly, you see others clearly, and you see God clearly.

Most times, people don’t even see themselves clearly, and they do not see others clearly. They read people wrong. If you find that you keep reading people wrong, you are going to have problems in life. For some people, that is all the enemy does to them. He just gives them relational blindness, so they read people wrong. They see friends as enemies and see enemies as friends. When that is the case, you abuse the people that God has sent to help you. Then, when they withdraw from you, you are wondering why. Then you are praying and fasting for fifty days, disturbing God. Meanwhile, because you cannot see, you are confiding in and leaning on the people who are not for you. I pray that you will see clearly in the Name of Jesus.

I pray that as your perception changes, you will see God clearly. Renewed perception leads to a deeper awareness of oneself, others, and God. The second thing is that you gain Independence and Freedom. Sight frees a person from all the constraints of blindness, from ignorance, misunderstanding, and prejudice. Leading to a more liberating and fulfilling life. Sight gives you independence. However, there is a difference between independence and freedom.

Prayer: Father, as You restore my sight, I experience renewed perception, I move from darkness to light, from limitations to possibilities, in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
