Your Calling

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 2 Cor.4:17

Have you ever wondered why God lets you experience storms? Or why you have prayed and prayed and still nothing seems to be happening? Or why it seems no one knows the cost of the life you now are so thankful for. ‘Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God’ Heb.12:2. Even Jesus could not have gone to the cross without this principle. The Bible also records that Jesus knows all that we feel because He chose to go through it. Your calling is tied to your suffering. I’m sure you have heard this statement before and wondered why the suffering. Paul puts it this way ‘For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory’ 2cor.4:17. The affliction works in you a far greater victory. Your greatness is in the fulfillment of your calling. When you walk in your calling, that is when your greatness is unleashed. People admire the level of anointing that they see other people carry but you must like the suffering they went through to fully understand the call. If you knew the price people pay, you would not be jealous of anyone. Endure the cross and despise the shame for the exceeding greatness before you; because you are about to experience an unprecedented breakthrough. You have to understand that you will come out on top. No one desires to suffer but this should give you the right outlook. Your perspective should be that your greatness is unleashed through this and embrace the refining/training process. Take comfort in the fact that ALL things work together for lovers of God.

Prayer: Father, I ask for the grace to endure this process and to learn through the class of your Spirit. In Jesus Name, Amen.
