I AM!

John 15:⁸ “When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.”

You have to be fruitful! The mark of a true disciple in Jesus is fruitfulness. John 15:⁸ “When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.” (emphasis added). Not just glory, but great glory. The purpose of bearing fruit is to bring great glory to The Father. The purpose of bearing fruit is not so that you can have a name, or become a force to be reckoned with. The purpose of bearing fruit is not so that people will call you a powerful woman of God. The purpose is so that you can bring great glory to The Father. It is huge and we must understand the purpose of our fruitfulness.

John 15:¹ “I am the true grapevine…” (emphasis added) and this is the final of the seven “I AM” statements Jesus made in the Book of John. Let’s run through again, just in case we missed it. The first one Jesus said in John 6:35 is, “I AM the Bread of Life.” The second one in John 8:12, Jesus says, “I AM the Light of the World.”  Jesus says, ‘I am not only the Bread of Life that satisfies every soul. I am the Light of the world that illuminates every life and destiny. I am the Light of the world and everyone that walks in Me walks in light. Everyone that does not walk in Me, walk in darkness. The third one in John 10:9, Jesus says, “I AM the Door.” Jesus is the door to the next level you desire. Not only is He the Bread of Life, the Light of the world, the Door, Jesus says in John 10:11, I AM the Good Shepherd.”

The fifth “I AM” statement Jesus made is in John 11:25-26, “I AM the Resurrection and the Life.” The sixth “I AM” statement is, “I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life” in John 14:6. Jesus says, no one can come to the Father, except through Him. No one in history has made such a bold statement, no one else – only Jesus! Jesus introduces us to the seventh “I AM” statement in John 15:1, “I AM the True Vine.” I encourage you to just sit with these seven “I Am” statements Jesus made, they are so rich and powerful. There is no way you will understand this and you walk in defeat, it is impossible!

You are hungry – the Bread of Life. Your soul is confused – the Light of the world. You feel restricted and confined – the Door makes a way for you to walk through. You need direction – the Good Shepherd. You are dealing with a dead situation – the Resurrection and the Life. You want to get to the Father – Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me. But Jesus is not just all these; He wants you to also be powerful spiritually so I am the True Vine, you are the branches so that you can bear fruit and you can do the works that I do by asking anything of the Father and it will be done for you.
