Comfort Is Here!

‘So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy’ John 16:22

No one grieves without reason; everybody grieves for a reason. If you see anyone grieving without a reason then something is wrong. But beyond that, why exactly do people grieve? The first reason why people grieve is mainly because of a loss. The second reason why we grieve is for our sins and for the sins of other people. Isaiah was one prophet who went around declaring woe to everyone. But when God opened his eyes and he saw himself for the way he really was, that same Isaiah declared ‘woe is me for I have sinned’. When you see people that are overtly critical about other people’s sins it shows that they don’t even know what the other person is going through. Jesus says, ‘remove the log in your own eyes before you attempt to remove the spec in another persons eyes’. We grieve for our sins and we ought to grieve for the sins of others. I want to encourage you today, no matter the area you are grieving in, comfort is coming your way. The third reason why we grieve is because of time and this is in three levels. In Ecclesiastes 3, the Bible says ‘there is time for every thing’. Firstly, we grieve when it is not yet time. God has a timetable. You might be trusting God for a life partner but God has a timetable for you. With God everyone is on a different timetable. For some their timetable is to marry at twenty-one, for some it is thirty-one, and for some it is at twenty-seven. So we grieve and struggle because it is not yet time. ‘Do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house’ Prov.24:27. In other words, if you have not prepared your work without and made it  fit for you in the field, it is not yet time to build your house. Some trusting God for the fruit of the womb grieve every time it’s that time of the month. I have good news for you today; comfort is coming your way. Secondly, we also grieve because it is actually time [John 16:21-22]. And thirdly we grieve because the time has passed. I am praying for everybody whose time has passed for a certain thing that God will redeem your time. Just believe!

Prayer: Father, I thank You because regardless of why I am grieving or how long I have been grieving for, I believe that my comfort is actually here, in Jesus Name.
