Sow A Seed

‘When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish”’ Luke 5:4

In Proverbs, the Bible says ‘when you give to the poor you are lending to the Lord’. When you loan someone something, you get back what you lent the person right? Of course we trust that God will give you much more because He is God. But when you take care of the poor, the Bible says, your health will break forth speedily. Why did people give to Solomon even though he had more money than them? It is because you give up for wealth and down for health. You may say your life group leader has more money than you but remember we give up for wealth. Perhaps you are trusting God for a life partner for example. And you spot a couple in church who personify what you desire in marriage. You have prayed enough; sow a seed. Go to them and give them a seed. They do not need to know the details; it is between you and God. You are trusting God for the fruit of the womb, you see someone who is giving birth to twins and triplets. The person is even trying to stop but cannot stop having children. What should you do?  You are a young man, you see a man that has married a beautiful wife. There is an anointing to marry a beautiful wife, what should you do? Sow a seed! Everything I am telling you, I do. I don’t only do them but everything I am telling you I have tested and they are true.

When you sow a seed it rids you of so many things. When you are sowing a seed into someone’s life, you cannot be jealous of the person. If you are jealous, then perhaps God should increase the amount you will sow. You cannot be jealous of someone’s wife or husband, just sow a seed into their lives. God will rid you of jealousy and your harvest will come. Harvest is usually more than seed. So many things begin to move in your direction just by sowing a seed. Money is crucial but your life is more than money. Jesus puts it this way, ‘the life of a man does not consist in the abundance of the things that they possess’. Your life is not the sum total of what is in your bank account. Your life is not the sum total of the number of cars you have.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, lead me to people and places where I need to sow. Lord, I ask for the grace to follow and obey completely, in Jesus Name.
