Push!
Psalm 84:7 “They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]; Each of them appears before God in Zion.” (AMP, emphasis added).
How do you become rich towards God? By investing in the souls of men and the Word of God—two things that never decay, can never be stolen, and will last forever. How rich you are when it comes to investing in the souls of men and the Word of God, is how rich you are towards God. God is saying, don’t merely store up things but be rich towards God. Build a bigger farm, not just a bigger barn. Dream again. Push your limit. Stretch. Don’t settle! Don’t settle! Don’t settle!
A while back, I was sitting with a lady who was almost eighty years old and, she was telling me about her vision, the things she wanted to do, and territories she wanted to take for God. I was inspired. The lady is actually my mother. Some people are just fifty-five or sixty-five and they have settled. Some have retired at thirty-five. Sadly, I see young people who are only interested in enjoying life. All they want to do is coast until Jesus comes. God is saying, don’t settle. While the man in Luke 12 settled financially, some people have settled spiritually.
You do not stretch yourself anymore. You do not pray as much as you ought to be praying, or as much as you used to pray. Some are like, I know I won’t miss heaven so no need to fast and pray anymore. God is saying to you, don’t settle! Settling is not good for you. Some people have settled mentally and emotionally. God is saying, don’t settle! Some people have stopped reading and developing themselves. And the reason is, they want to focus on making money, so they don’t want to stress themselves with reading books anymore. Not knowing that it is when you become a person of value that you attract value. It is who you become that determines what you are going to attract. Don’t settle mentally.
Some relationships have settled. Some married couples are just like roommates. Some say, “I am waiting for rapture, for Jesus to come and set me free.” Don’t settle! A man woke up at night and was staring at his wife. And He was saying to the Lord, “It is either rapture comes now, or I strangle this woman.” And he was at it from about 3am to about 5am when his wife woke up and saw him. Don’t settle, fight for your marriage. The truth is when it comes to the different areas of our lives, we can only become all that God has in mind for us when we refuse to settle. There is always more in God – financially, spiritually, or in business. Don’t settle! For some people, it is despair, disappointment, and discouragement that have made them settle. God has brought this Word to encourage you today and to say to you, DON’T SETTLE!
Prayer: Father, I refuse to settle. Empower me to step into more in God, in Jesus Name. Amen!
