Walk Wisely

Ephesians 5:15 “So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.”

It is one thing to be anointed; it is another thing to be ordained. They are two different things. You can be ordained a Deacon, but you may not be anointed. That is such a terrible thing. You can be ordained a Pastor, everyone calls you Pastor, but you may not be anointed. If all you have is the consecration, the ordination, that is a terrible thing. David was ordained as king, and he was anointed because he had spent time with God, in God’s presence. It is only God that anoints. The anointing comes from you pursuing God. So, if you are ordained, you have to be anointed. If you are anointed, don’t worry about being ordained because you will be ordained. You may not necessarily be a Pastor. Some people are ordained captains of industries or juggernauts in politics.

1 Samuel 18:14 “And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the Lord was with him.” (NKJV, emphasis added). This is so powerful. David was anointed, he was ordained, yet he behaved himself wisely before Saul. Isn’t that a recipe for arrogance for some people? David could have said to Saul, “The throne has been given to me already. You may not know, but I have been ordained as king.” Or he could have said, “I am the anointed one, the one who brought down Goliath. Even the women are singing my praises. Saul has killed his hundreds; David has killed his thousands. My glory is greater than yours.” David would have died an untimely death.

David behaved himself wisely. Unfortunately, this is one component that is missing in a lot of people’s lives. I pray that you will get wisdom. If you have wisdom and you behave yourself wisely, you will become so powerful. Meanwhile, Saul wanted to kill David; many times, he would throw his javelin, and David would have to dodge it and run away. But the next day, David would be back at his duty post, serving Saul. For some people, if they even think that their boss is giving them a bad look, they will quit. Such people are not very wise. But you will be wise in the Name of Jesus. Walk wisely, and you will become an enigma.

No one can take your anointing if you are anointed. If you are not anointed, you can get anointed. If you are ordained, nobody can take it. Your destiny is secure in God. 1 Samuel 18:15 “Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him.” (KJV). When you behave wisely, people will be afraid of you. You will be completely unstoppable.

Prayer: Father, I receive the grace to walk and behave wisely. Lord, make me unstoppable and an enigma to my generation and detractors, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
