Learn To Obey III

“Naaman’s servants came near and said to him, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, wouldn’t you have done it? Doesn’t it make more sense just to do it? After all, he only told you, ‘Wash, and you will be clean’” 2 Kings 5:13 [NCV]

There are people that God has put in your life to speak into your life so you can become stronger. “Elisha sent Naaman a messenger who said, “Go and wash in the Jordan River seven times. Then your skin will be healed, and you will be clean.” Naaman became angry and left. He said, “I thought Elisha would surely come out and stand before me and call on the name of the Lord his God. I thought he would wave his hand over the place and heal the disease” 2 Kings 5:10-11 [NCV]. When you take instructions, you are doing yourself a favor. You are the one that will become stronger.

I left that tennis court a stronger player because I humbled myself to recognize the voice of instruction. So my game advantage changed. The people that used to deal with me still beat me but they had to struggle because I had a stronger backhand. The people I used to struggle to beat, I began to beat them easily because I had a stronger backhand. I could have pleased myself, ignored my weakness and remained at the same skill level. But I chose to listen to the voice of the community. And in war, instruction is everything. Intelligence is everything. Line of command is everything.

There are only four ways you can change and move to the next level. You can do more, you can do less, you can stop, and you can start. I want you to be bold; ask the key people in your life what you can do less, what you can do more, what you can stop, or what you can start. Maybe you talk too much and need to talk less. Maybe you are an excellent cook and need to cook more. Perhaps there is a job you are giving all to, that you should stop or a business line that you should start. These four questions will change your life. If you are humble enough to ask and listen to what you are told, your life will totally change. As a church we also ask these questions and the reason is that people can see what we cannot see. If you want to take your life forward, ask these questions.

When you practice the Principle of Concerted Action in addition to the other principles you have learnt, you become totally unstoppable. You become an enigma.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, empower me to do all the things that I have learnt in this season so that the change and victory in my life will be undeniable, in Jesus Name.
