He Is Able I

Ps. 34: ⁴ “I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. ⁵ They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.”

Generally, people trusting God for the fruit of the womb, go through a lot. There is usually a lot of pressure on them to find alternatives. But God is saying to you today, do not give up your faith. That is the only thing that can deliver what you are trusting God for. Two women came to see me at the office; they were strangers to each other until they met in the waiting room at the office. I was in a meeting that day, that lasted for three hours and in that time, these two ladies became friends. One had been trusting God for the fruit of the womb for six years while the other had been waiting on God for eight or ten years.

One of them said that after waiting for three hours to see me, the thirty seconds prayer I said, really infuriated her. She said she thought to herself, is this man for real? But that same month, herself and the other lady conceived and they dedicated their babies on the same day. Glory be to Jesus! They told me this story when they came for the baby dedication. Guess what? I said I waited on God for eight long years for a child too. This happened in that season and I was like, God I am not doing this anymore. It is a tough place to be. It was like before I even finish praying with these women, they conceive.

You will be tested to give up your faith. I am not telling you theory, I am telling you what I have passed through by God’s grace. Do not give up your faith. Hold on to God because God will never fail you. David said in Ps.37:²⁵ “I have been young and now I am old. And in all my years I have never seen the Lord forsake a man who loves him; nor have I seen the children of the godly go hungry” [TLB]. Even though David was talking about food, you can apply this truth to every situation really. God is too faithful to fail. You are not about to break God’s record because He is not going to fail. Abraham and Sarah were the first couple in the Bible that really trusted God for the fruit of the womb. You will not have to wait that long, in Jesus Name; but my point is that God never fails. Do not lose faith in Him!

Prayer [hymn]: My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ Blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus’ Name. On Christ, the Solid Rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand. Amen!
