Plug The Leaks II
‘…another messenger arrived with this news: Your sons and daughters were feasting in their oldest brother’s home. Suddenly, a powerful wind swept in from the wilderness and hit …The house collapsed, and all your children are dead…’ Job 1:18-19
The second thing that leads to losses is enemy attacks. The attack is not your fault in any way. There are battles you will encounter just because of your nationality. There are certain battles that you are fighting today simply because you are Nigerian. The battle for constant power, the battle for integrity beyond boarders, and the battle against poverty. These are some examples of battles many Nigerians have to face. For some people, the battle that they are currently encountering is because of the family they were born into. Thus they have inherited fierce battles which they had no part in starting. Other battles are recurrent patterns. For some, it seems they cannot get beyond a certain height no matter how hard they try. You have to take the Name of Jesus and break the back of every such enemy attack. These battles are real; to deny them is to suffer loss. The enemy does not understand any other language but force. You cannot talk him out of warring against you. You have to resist him [James 4:7]. This life is a warfare and not a funfair. You must be ready to engage in warfare to plug the leaks by force. Some people say they love their sleep too much to have personal vigils. Don’t just sleep all year round. Spend at least one night every week waging war. You have to deliberately wage war. If you mind your business and ignore satan, he will not pay you the same courtesy [Job 1]. On the other hand, there are others who are very proactive spiritually, as soon as they notice a new pattern, they engage immediately. Fasting and praying, not waiting till it gets to their door step. Deliberately wage war, deal with issues and plug the leaks. Don’t wait until it gets to your door step. ‘For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul’ Ps.35:7. The enemy will attack you even without you attacking him. Learn from David and ask God to plead your course.
Prayer: Lord, I ask that You draw out Your spare and stop the way against my enemies. Disappoint every plot of the enemy against me and my family. Have them in derision, in Jesus Name.
