Job 18:4 “You are only hurting yourself with your anger…” (GNT)
When you choose to harbour anger and resentment, you hurt no one else but yourself. Have you noticed? You are the only one feeling the pain. Have you noticed that everybody else seems to be moving on? Read the rest of this entry

Job 36:13 “The godless in heart harbour resentment; even when he fetters them, they do not cry for help.” (NIV)

Proverbs 24:12 “Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew…”

Luke 14:18-20 “But they all began making excuses. One said, ‘I have just bought a field and must inspect it. Please excuse me.’ Another said, ‘I have just bought five pairs of oxen, and I want to try them out. Please excuse me.’ Another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’”

Mud & Ice, II
Romans 8:38 “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.”
What are the things that get between us and The Way, those things that prevent traction? Yesterday we looked at the first, which is Sin. The second is Fear. Every time you see fear, you cannot find faith. Fear, they say, is the opposite of faith and that is so true. Read the rest of this entry
