Persistent Faith

‘Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the ground. So the king picked them up and struck the ground three times. But the man of God was angry with him. “You should have struck the ground five or six times!’ 2 Kings 13:18-19

The key to breaking barriers is persistence. You cannot afford to go halfway and stop. Breaking barriers requires that you be unrelenting, do all that is required, and go all the way. You must stubbornly persist until you get the result you seek. Scripture gives us several examples of men and women who Read the rest of this entry

The Covering

‘Jael went out to meet Sisera and said to him, “Come into my tent, sir. Come in. Don’t be afraid.” So he went into her tent, and she covered him with a blanket. “Please give me some water,” he said. “I’m thirsty.” So she gave him some milk from a leather bag and covered him again’ Judges 4:18-19.

The cover you have in life is fundamental to your direction and ultimately fulfilling your destiny. One of the best things that can happen to anyone is to be surrounded with the right covering. A godly spouse, godly parents, and godly counsel. Particularly for men, who they partner with is crucial to their success Read the rest of this entry

Sabbath

‘You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day must be a Sabbath day of complete rest, a holy day dedicated to the LORD’ Ex.31:15a

‘Stand at the door of the tent, he told her. If anybody comes and asks you if there is anyone here, say no. But when Sisera fell asleep from exhaustion, Jael quietly crept up to him with a hammer and tent peg in her hand. Then she drove the tent peg through his temple and into the ground, and so he died’ Read the rest of this entry

Unknown

‘The LORD our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that He has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions Deut. 29:29.

The truth is that there are things in nature that we see every day but its origins, destination and sustenance is known only by God. Every one of these elements in nature serves God’s purposes alone. A lot of us get to experience the mountains, the clouds, the stars, the rain, the trees and so many other Read the rest of this entry

Perspective

‘Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee’ Jeremiah32:17 [KJV].

How big is God really? Our minds really cannot phantom. What exactly can He do? Nobody knows. We know that there is nothing impossible with God. But there are a few numbers in nature that could help us out. There are currently about 7 billion people on earth. And science tells us that the earth can hold Read the rest of this entry

For The Glory Of God

‘But give great joy to those who have stood with me in my defense. Let them continually say, “Great is the LORD, who enjoys helping his servant Psalm:35:27.

God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His people. God wants to bless us. He rejoices in granting our hearts desires in accordance to His will. For the woman waiting for the fruit of the womb, the Lord rejoices to see you pregnant. For the unmarried, God rejoices to see you with your spouse. For the unemployed, Read the rest of this entry

God’s Willingness

‘Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached Jesus. He knelt before Him, worshiping. Lord, the man said, if you want to, you can make me well again. Jesus touched him. I want to, He said. Be healed! And instantly the leprosy disappeared’ Matt 8:2.

One day, after a sermon based on 2 Peter 3:8, a little boy got home and prayed: “Dear Lord, our Sunday school teacher taught us that a day with you is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day. Is that true?” God answers “Yes son”. The child continues: “Umm, can I then conclude Lord that a dollar Read the rest of this entry

Spiritual Capacity

‘And now God is building you, as living stones, into His spiritual temple. What’s more, you are God’s holy priests, who offer the spiritual sacrifices that please Him because of Jesus Christ’ 1 Pet.2:5

As physical exercises build physical muscles, so also spiritual exercise build spiritual muscles.  In all sports, there are coaches and athletes. They train together to prepare for the sports ahead. It is only the foolish athlete who will request that his coach trains on his behalf, while he relaxes. Every athlete must Read the rest of this entry

Let Go Of Fig Leaves

‘…Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit’ Acts 2:38

What area of your life have you sown fig leaves for? Some of us have a void in our hearts that only God can fill. Yet we try to fill it with everything except the One who can. People fill the void in their lives with sex, alcohol, or ungodly relationships. The people you are compromising for will one day find Christ Read the rest of this entry

Pointers To Un-repented Sin

‘Then the LORD God called to the man, Where are you? He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked…’ Gen.3:9-10

Today, we will be dealing with the components of the baggage of un-repented sin. These are the pointers to the fact that perhaps there is a baggage of un-repented sin you need to deal with. The first pointer to un-repented sin is regret [Read Genesis 3:1-13]. There is no point regretting. In dealing with regret, the first thing you need to know is that you Read the rest of this entry
