Warning!
Matthew 6:14-15 “In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can’t get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God’s part.” (MSG)
We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday. Forgiveness is not about deserving; forgiveness is about preserving. Forgiveness is not about if ‘they’ deserve it or not. Forgiveness is about preserving your own heart so that you do not become a bitter person. Read the rest of this entry
Let It Go!
Luke 11:2-4 “Jesus said, “This is how you should pray: “Father, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation.”
Jesus is The Door for us to exit from the Prison of Pretending and from the Prison of Unforgiveness. When it comes to asking for forgiveness, you need to humble yourself and ask. Some people are never able to ask for forgiveness. Some never want to say the phrase, “I am sorry”. Read the rest of this entry
Freedom Walk
Psalms 119:45 “And I’ll stride freely through wide open spaces as I look for your truth and your wisdom.” (MSG)
When I was in secondary school, there was that certain someone I wanted to dance with, go out with, take to the school party. I am sure you know what I am talking about. But guess what? Sometimes, that certain someone turns their back on you. So, we were never able to get the girl we wanted. Read the rest of this entry
Dangerous Paths
Proverbs 29:25 “Fear of man is a dangerous trap, but to trust in God means safety.” (LB, emphasis added)
We began to look at the first of three prisons that Jesus wants us to exit from and the first is the Prison of Pretending. When you wear a mask, you are hiding, and you will get increasingly uncomfortable. Wearing a mask can be exhausting as many of us can attest to from first-hand experience during Read the rest of this entry
To Freedom
Galatians 5:13 “It is absolutely clear that God has called you to a free life. Just make sure that you don’t use this freedom as an excuse to do whatever you want to do and destroy your freedom. Rather, use your freedom to serve one another in love; that’s how freedom grows.” (MSG)
Most times, we have an idea of who we think God is and how we expect God to respond. So, God has to rattle and shake the foundation of such beliefs. However, the beauty is that He does not leave us there. After He has shaken our foundation, Read the rest of this entry
Shake Up
Hebrews 12:27 “By this he means that he will sift out everything without solid foundations so that only unshakable things will be left.” (LB)
Today, we will pick up our discussion from the final thought from yesterday’s devotional. And that is the fact that some doors can actually be traps. For instance, traditions can be a trap. Sometimes, people insist on doing things the way it has always been done so that the outcome can be as it has always been. Read the rest of this entry

Romans 8:1 “So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One.” (TPT).
What Did Jesus “Finish” On The Cross? We can write a whole book on this. But beginning today we will look at four huge things that Jesus did on the cross, things He finished.
The first thing is Jesus Paid The Penalty and Cancelled The Debt. Read the rest of this entry
Tetelestai!
Hebrews 12:2 “Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever…” (MSG)
Jesus surrendered His life for you and I! He gave His life for you and me, He voluntarily gave up His spirit. You do not give up what is taken from you. If something is taken from you forcefully by lies, coercion, or manipulation. But none of those made Jesus give up His life. Read the rest of this entry
