Present Help

Ex.4:10 “But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.” 13 But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.”

The fear of inadequacy is capable of completely blocking us out of God’s plans if we allow it take hold of our lives. As much as the fear of inadequacy is legitimate, we must not allow it to stop us from fulfilling our destiny in God. If you read Exodus 3 & 4, you would be amazed at how many times Moses protested because he felt inadequate for God’s call on his life. But in response to all of Moses’ fear of Read the rest of this entry

Take Action I

Ex.17:9 “Moses called for a young leader named Joshua. Moses (to Joshua): Select some of our best men, and go fight against the soldiers of Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand at the crest of that hill overlooking the battlefield with God’s staff in my hand” [Voice, with emphasis].

The beauty about God’s Word is that the more you engage it, the more it engages you and the more it accomplishes in and through you. Please read Exodus 17:8-13. The second thing we see is that the Power to Prevail is released when you Take Action. You are the general of your life and great generals take action. Moses did not just wait for Amalek. Moses took action and initiated the battle against the Amalekites.

Power

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

I am confident that your life will not be void of power. All God asks for, is that you give Him all the glory, all the credit. God wants us to acknowledge that power belongs to Him. The only time we will run into problems is when we attempt to share in God’s credit [glory]. God does not really like that. King Nebuchadnezzar attempted to share in God’s glory and God caused him to eat grass for seven years until he gave all the glory to God and acknowledged that the Most High rules. Power belongs to God. I take time out before Read the rest of this entry

Confess & Forsake!

Prov.28:13 “People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy” [with emphasis].

Give Thanks

Ezra 3: 11 With praise and thanks, they sang this song to the Lord: “He is so good! His faithful love for Israel endures forever!” Then all the people gave a great shout…” [emphasis added]

When a child wakes up from a nightmare, hearing the voice of the parent alone is comforting. Immediately the child hears the statement, “Its okay, Daddy/Mummy is here”, the child feels a sense of security and calms down. The child does not first measure the circumference of the parent’s biceps. Knowing that Mummy or Daddy is there is enough. Whether the parent can fight or not does not matter. The child feels secure in the parent’s arms. That child will sleep off on the parent’s shoulder regardless of what is out there. I Read the rest of this entry

His Delight

Ps.50:5 “Bring my faithful people to me – those who made a covenant with me by giving sacrifices”

It is okay to start small. Just start and go forward! You and I must develop the willingness to do what it takes. God says, “Do not despise the days of little beginnings”. Do not despise what God rejoices in. A church invited a pastor to minister in their church and   the day the pastor arrived, the church sent a car to the airport to pick him up. When this pastor came out of the airport and saw that the pick up car was a mini, he refused to enter the car. He claimed that his anointing was too big to enter a mini. Something is wrong Read the rest of this entry

First Thing

Ezra 3:10 When the builders completed the foundation of the Lord’s Temple, the priests put on their robes and took their places to blow their trumpets. And the Levites, descendants of Asaph, clashed their cymbals to praise the Lord….” [emphasis added]

Ezra 3:11 With praise and thanks, they sang this song to the Lord: “He is so good! His faithful love for Israel endures forever!” Then all the people gave a great shout, praising the Lord because the foundation of the Lord’s Temple had been laid. 12 But many of the older priests, Levites, and other leaders who had seen the first Temple wept aloud when they saw the new Temple’s foundation. The others, however, were shouting for joy. 13 The joyful shouting and weeping mingled together in a loud noise that could be heard far in the distance. [emphasis added] Read the rest of this entry

Instrument

1 Sam.3:19 As Samuel grew up, the Lord was with him, and everything Samuel said proved to be reliable.”

Samuel encountered God and the very next day he had to take a stand for God. 1 Sam.3:15 Samuel stayed in bed until morning, then got up and opened the doors of the Tabernacle as usual. He was afraid to tell Eli what the Lord had said to him. 16 But Eli called out to him, “Samuel, my son.” “Here I am,” Samuel replied. 17 “What did the Lord say to you? Tell me everything. And may God strike you and even kill you if you hide anything from me!” So Samuel told Eli everything God told him; God was chastising Eli on his Read the rest of this entry

Warning!!!

Num.23:23 No curse can touch Jacob; no magic has any power against Israel. For now it will be said of Jacob, ‘What wonders God has done for Israel!

In yesterdays devotional, we began to talk about curses and their effects. If you have not read it, please start to do so. The first effect of curses is that curses release supernatural forces to limit a person or a place. Secondly, curses are released to paralyze and negate people or places. I pray in the name of Jesus that every curse that is trying to or has succeeded in paralyzing or negating you or any part of your life, God will wipe out today [say Amen].

Knowing VII

Ph. 2:5 [NCV]In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus.”

Test #6 for determining God voice is: Does this make me more like Christ? God’s goal is to make us like Christ Jesus and God will not say anything that will make us less like Christ. Take note of all the Scripture references I have given these past few days. These tests are not made up. They are rooted in God’s Word and you can build your faith on God’s Word.

In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus.” One sure way to achieve this is, 2Cor.10:5 [GW] “We take every thought captive so that it is obedient to Christ.” Is the thought, the idea, the inspiration, or revelation obedient to Christ? Taking thoughts captive is something we must do on a day-to-day basis. Nobody is exempt, not even pastors. Read the rest of this entry
