Mercy And Love

“And I will be merciful to them in their wrongdoings, and I will remember their sins no more.” Heb.8:12 [TLB]

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so muchEph.2:4 [emphasis added]. It is just so amazing that God is not only rich in mercy; He is also very rich in love. God is rich in mercy and He is full of love. I was walking down the street and something caught my eye, a father and his son were having a coaching lesson. The grass was green and the pitch was set, the father placed the ball in the penalty Read the rest of this entry

Merciful God

“Is it against the law for me to do what I want with my money? Should you be jealous because I am kind to others?’” Matt.20:15 [emphasis added]

The crux of this story [Matt.20:1-15] is not how to arm twist God or for you to think that it’s best to get born again just before you die. It does not work. If you check that story, every one of them came into the Kingdom when the landowner called them. So the door of the Kingdom is open to you when God is calling you, not at your discretion. If you wait to get born again at your Read the rest of this entry

Love and Like

“I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. You didn’t choose me. I chose you…” John. 15:15-16.

“Now you are my friends”; you cannot be a friend of somebody you do not like. What creates friendship is the likeness. God does not need us but He likes us and that is simply amazing. The funny thing is that even though we need God, we do not always want Him. He does not need us yet He wants us. But even though we need Him Read the rest of this entry

Implication II

“So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the Lord, and His heart became impatient over the misery of Israel” Judg.10:16 [AMP]

Third Implication: Jesus is my Saviour means God rushes in to save me. God actually rushes to save you. He rushes to deliver you. He rushes to free you. Does He really? Yes He does. Read the rest of this entry

Prodigal Son – Prodigal Grace

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate” Luke 15:22-23.

The only way you can always win with God is to surrender. Surrender! And it is because when you surrender to God you are not the victim, you have not lost; you have actually won. What begins to happen to you when you surrender is victory. Jacob was wrestling with God and God had to break his thighbone. Then he Read the rest of this entry

Just For You II

‘…My purpose is to give then a rich and satisfying life. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep’ John 10:10-11.

Jesus showed up for you! Jesus bore the gift of heaven for you. You have heard it said that Jesus is the reason for the season, right? And that is true but the greater truth is that you are the reason for the season. You are the reason Jesus came. Think about it, why else did Jesus come? Why would God leave heaven and come if we didn’t need help? On that day when I stood alone at visiting day and all the cars were disappearing one after the other, it dawned on me that the reason for the visiting day was me – the student. The parents that came, came to refresh us. I know that religious people Read the rest of this entry

Just For You I

This is real love – not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins1John 4:10

The All-Powerful God became helpless, at the “mercy” of Joseph and Mary, the amateur parents. Secondly, God came as a human being because man messed up and man had to fix it up. God became a human being because it will take man to put straight what man messed up. Christmas is such a big deal because of the relevance of Christmas. Christ, God came to earth and became a man. The Bible puts it this way; ‘For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin’ Heb.4:15 [NKJV]. Jesus understands the Read the rest of this entry

Glad Tidings

‘Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people’ Luke 2:10 [NKJV]

In this season and always, we trust that the Lord Jesus Himself will breathe upon us Himself. We thank God for Christmas. Christmas is a very fantastic time of the year. A lot of us get the buzz of Christmas then after a while we loose the buzz of Christmas. For some other people, they do not even understand what Christmas is all about. And the question that arises is, what is the big deal about Christmas?. What is the big deal about Christmas anyway? In the culture that we Read the rest of this entry

As Yourself

‘In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself’ Eph.5:28.

There is a French adage that says, “he who loves well, punishes well” [translated]. This was the mindset and pride of the medieval man. They believed that loving their wives meant punishing and disciplining her. And they even try to quote scripture, ‘the child that God accepts, God chastises’. She is your wife – not your child. You will never see in the Bible ‘husbands discipline your wives’. The mentality of the abuser, they think they have to take personal Read the rest of this entry

Your Responsibility

‘The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged’ Ps.69:32

I feel a need to stress this point again because a lot of people have abandoned their destinies for greener pasture. Yes, the grass sometimes appears greener on the other side. When you stand at a distance, the grass can look greener on the other side. But the reality is that when you get closer to that grass you will find that it is not greener. The grass is only greener where it is watered. So water Read the rest of this entry
