Always Fair

“He answered one of them, ‘Friend, I haven’t been unfair! Didn’t you agree to work all day for the usual wage?” Matt.20:13.

Jesus told this story [Matt.20:1-15] to depict Himself and His Kingdom. The story starts: Read the rest of this entry

Ask For Mercy

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks the door will be opened” Matt.7:7-8

The beautiful thing about Jesus is that He always responds to the humble’s cry for help. There is something about crying out to Jesus that unlocks the mercy of God. And you can check from scripture; everyone that cried out to Jesus, Jesus came to their aid. Everyone! Bartimaeus was blind, he shouted Jesus, thou Son of David, have Read the rest of this entry

Plans Of Good And Not Evil

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life” John 10:10

I do not know what you have done but I have been sent to tell you that Jesus is merciful. Jesus is merciful. He is full of mercy and His mercy knows no bounds. Please read Matthew 20:1-15. Over the next few days, we will be learning about God’s boundless mercy from these scriptures. It is my prayer that as you faithfully read it, Read the rest of this entry

Little Or Much?

“But Jesus said to the woman, your faith has saved you; go (enter) into peace [in freedom from all the distress that are experienced as the result of sin]” Luke 7:50 [AMP]

Luke 7 records an amazing story of the woman who washed Jesus’ feet with her tears, wiped it with her hair, and anointed it with very expensive oil from her alabaster box. Everyone around Jesus at the time was indignant; they were wondering why she would be wasting that much resource on Jesus when people are hungry? Have you Read the rest of this entry

A Picture Of Grace

“The older brother was angry and wouldn’t go in. His father came out and begged him” Luke 15:28

As believers, the more truth we imbibe, the more we are established in grace. That’s just how it works. The more truth we imbibe, the more we are established in grace. In fact, the reason some Christians appear not to be able to backslide and have been consistently growing in their walk with God is because they keep the truth before Read the rest of this entry

With You Always

As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind… Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion…’ Mark4:35-38.

Many of us today are in the same position the disciples found themselves in today’s scripture reference. We know we are walking with Jesus, we are His sheep and we hear His voice. We have obediently followed His instructions to cross over to the other side but here we are in the eye of the storm as it were. The first thing you need to know is that even when God is for you, you will still experience storms. And like the disciples, we sometimes are perplexed that if Jesus is in this boat Read the rest of this entry

Unto Thyself Be True I

For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and nightPs.51:3

The fourth thing we need to know about sin is that sin shuts your mouth. You may attempt to sing praises to God and the accuser would refresh your mind about your sin. You can’t praise God. Picture this, David picks up his harp and begins to sing a Psalm unto the Lord and the enemy whispers “Uriah”. David’s lips become sealed. David goes to the balcony and just as he is about to sing another Psalm unto the Lord the Read the rest of this entry

Seek Restoration

‘Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoicePs.51:8 [NIV].

Levi paid tithe way before God instituted tithe as a law. Some people kill themselves that tithe is the law and we are not under the law. In my opinion, that is just being clueless. David did not say because iniquity was wired into him therefore he has to remain that way. That is the problem with our generation; we blame our parents for everything. I was abused as a child that’s why I am like this. Have you heard Read the rest of this entry

Merciful Father

‘Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions’ Ps.51:1[NKJV]

“I’m in a desperate situation!” David replied to Gad. “But let me fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is very great. Do not let me fall into human hands.” 1Chr.21:13. David knew that with God there is mercy. David knew that if he ended up in the hands of man, he would not find mercy. In fact man will flog you for those three months and ask for extra time to keep flogging you. If you need to understand something today, understand that with God Read the rest of this entry

Consistent Victory

‘Therefore David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the Lord said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah’ 1Sam.23:2 [KJV]

Let us chronicle the battles of David and I am praying that this births in you the fire to claim your victory consistently. Remember we are under a better covenant and we are fighting from the place of victory. David fought goliath [1Sam.17]; David fought Saul [1Sam.18-20]; David fought the philistines [1Sam.23:1-5]; David fought the Geshurite, the Girzites, and the Amalekites [1Sam.27]; David fought the Amalekites [1Sam.30]; David fought the Read the rest of this entry
