Numbers 23:²³ “No curse can touch Jacob; no magic has any power against Israel. For now it will be said of Jacob, ‘What wonders God has done for Israel!’”

A curse is a declared limitation. For instance, when Joshua placed a limitation on Jericho. Joshua 6:²⁶ “At that time Joshua invoked this curse: “May the curse of the Lord fall on anyone who tries to rebuild the town of Jericho. At the cost of his firstborn son, he will lay its foundation.
