Purpose in Pain

Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock’. Matt.7:25

The pain you experience, God has allowed it for a purpose. However, many of us get too engrossed in the pain and allow it to make us bitter whereas God is saying ‘the pain is supposed to draw you closer to Me’. God is set to use the pain for your good and reveal a dimension of Him that you have been hearing

The Womb of Adversity

‘God replied to Moses, I Am Who I Am. Say this to the people of Israel: I Am has sent me to you’. Ex.3:14

When you examine the revelations of God throughout scripture, a lot of these revelations were birthed in the womb of adversity. Every Christian encounters adversity at one point or the other of his/her work with God, as did the prophets in the bible, which births a new or deeper revelation of God in us. You

Where On Earth Is The Kingdom?

‘Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God will come, He answered them and said, the Kingdom of God does not come with observation’ Luke.17:20.

The domain of the King as scripture rightly points out is in Heaven. However, God is boundless and He has chosen to extend His domain on earth. Are you one of those wondering and perhaps even asking, where on earth is this Kingdom? Jesus gave the perfect answer to the Pharisees who also demanded to know where the Kingdom He always spoke about was; and today that answer Read the rest of this entry

Righteousness, Peace and Joy

‘For the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit’. Rom.14:17

Examine your life, is yours a reflection of the Kingdom? Are you living righteously, are you experiencing peace and is there joy in your life, home and career? If not, then the Kingdom of God has not been fully established in your life. Paul says, ‘the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit’. This means the Kingdom of Read the rest of this entry

The key to Personal Harmony

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Isaiah.26:3[KJV]

You will keep in perfect peace ALL who trust in You, ALL whose thoughts are fixed on You! Isa.26:3 [NLT]. The only route to perfect peace is God. You cannot put your trust in the wealth of your hands [wealth which God has permitted] and expect perfect peace. Trust is a deeper level of faith; regardless of what you can see, you believe beyond any doubt that God has already come Read the rest of this entry

7th Root of Personal Disharmony: Doubt

[For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides] James1:8 [AMP]

Doubt is a major pointer to personal disharmony. Doubt basically occurs when there is no harmony between your spirit man and your intellectual man. Your heart says one things and your mind says something totally different. You are in service or listening to an audio message or perhaps even studying the Bible, and then your spirit man picks up on what God wants to do. Your spirit man Read the rest of this entry

6th Root of Personal Disharmony: Worry

‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God’ Phil.4:6 [NIV].

A large number of people have a PhD from the school of worrying, while others have made worry a favourite past time. Worrying has become a toy that they relax into on every occasion, during the day and at the end of the day. Philippians 4:6 is a command and not a suggestion from God. God does not want you to worry; a command not to be anxious for anything. God is saying do not worry about anything. So when you worry, you are disobeying God. Read the rest of this entry

5th Root of Personal Disharmony: Sin

People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. Prov.28:13

The 5th root cause of personal disharmony is Sin. God’s gifts of forgiveness and salvation are free for all but you have to accept His forgiveness and ask to be saved by Jesus. We are unable to attain righteousness on our own which is why we go to God in Christ Jesus. In Christ, we are able to access the promises of God because we have been reconnected through the ultimate sacrifice. God Read the rest of this entry

4th Root of Personal Disharmony: Stress

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]. Phil.4:13 [AMP]

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me’ Phil.4:13 [NLT]. Stress usually happens when the task ahead of us is perceived as being greater than what we are capable of doing. You have been assigned a task in the office because your boss is confident that you are most capable for the task. The only problem is that you do not quite see what your boss sees and you are freaking Read the rest of this entry

3rd Root of Personal Disharmony: Approval Addiction

And the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on Him like a dove. And a voice from Heaven said, ‘You are My dearly loved Son, and You bring Me great joy’ Luke 3:22

A lot of us are suffering from approval addiction. You had a bad day simply because no one noticed the new shirt you were wearing. That is approval addiction. The origin of approval addiction is when we have not received approval perhaps as children from people who should affirm us. Perhaps a father never tells his daughter he loves her, never hugs her and never affirms Read the rest of this entry
