Do Your Part

Matthew 6:14-15 “In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can’t get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God’s part.” (MSG)

The first battle we need to win for our light to shine brightly is The Battle Between Selflessness And Selfishness. The second battle we need to fight and win for us to shine brightly is The Battle Between Forgiveness And Bitterness. I dare say that forgiveness is different from trusting. Fight & Win

James 4:1-2 “Do you know where your fights and arguments come from? They come from the selfish desires that make war inside you. You want things, but you don’t get them… So you argue and fight. You don’t get what you want because you don’t ask God.” (ERV)

The Bible says the conflict you have with your siblings, the conflict you have with your boss, the conflict you have with your driver, the conflict you have with your house-help, come from selfish desires. Some people change house-helps every week, do you know why? Read the rest of this entry

Fight It

1 Corinthians 9:27 “It is my own body I fight to make it do what I want. I do this so that I won’t miss getting the prize myself after telling others about it.” (ERV)

If you are going to have anything worthwhile, you will have to fight for it. If you are going to take or keep any territory worthwhile, you have to fight for it. Equipped

Psalm 18:39 “For You equipped me for battle, and You made my enemies fall beneath me (Voice)

We will pick up today from our final thought yesterday. The question is, can you say that by the end of 2022 you completed everything God would have you do and that there was nothing left in 2022 for you? Are you ready for 2023 or do you have unfinished business from the previous year? Read the rest of this entry

On Purpose

Psalm 19:5-6 “It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race. The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.”

We are pressing further into Light and for the next few days, God Himself will equip us with all that we need to shine bright. By the time this season is over, you will shine brighter than you have been shining in Jesus Name. Interestingly, the two analogies God uses to describe the Christian are athlete and soldier.
