The World

“…don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God” James 4:4 [emphasis added].

What is the world? The Word of God says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life [Jn.3:16]. For God so loved the world… and God is saying to us love not the world, if you love the world you become an enemy of God. So what is God saying? When you see the word world in the Bible it means the system of the world and the people in the world. God so loved the people in the world that He died for them but He is saying to you and I do not love the system of the world. Read the rest of this entry

The Word Alone

“Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!”? These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires” Col.1:21&23 [emphasis added].

The third thing the church in Colossae struggled with was Asceticism. Asceticism is strict withdrawal from anything that will give you pleasure thinking that it is what determines your spiritual height. “Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!” Col.2:21 And many people are falling prey to this also in the church. One man found another almost dying, he had been Read the rest of this entry

United We Stand…

“Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them! Come, let us go down and confuse the people with different languages…” Gen.11:6-7

“The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them! The enemy comes against us spiritually and fails and he will consistently fail. So he gives us another vision and it fails and he will consistently fail. Guess what he will try next? Another tongue [confusion] and he will fail and consistently fail concerning us. Read the rest of this entry

Keep Trusting

Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you which of his sons to anoint for me.” 1 Sam.16:4.

Knowledge comes line upon line, precept upon precept. God said to Samuel, ‘I will show you who to anoint. If I tell you the name, you will quickly go there and publish it. So go there first then I will show you’ [translated].  For many of us, God has said you are going to get married to this man and He has told you about the man. Years have passed and you are saying, “are these all the men?” I have good news for you today, David is coming! Believe me! I hope Read the rest of this entry

All You Need

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners’ Rom.5:8.

For you to have a fulfilled life as an individual, married or single, you must experience Philia and Agape. Philia is brotherly love, dispassionate love, loyal love, and friendship; and Agape is unconditional love. In other words, you must have people that are loyal to you and will love you in spite of yourself. If you lack that then you will have issues. For you and I to experience fulfilled lives, we must have in our lives brotherly love – people that are just our friends and Read the rest of this entry

Check Your Readiness II

For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for herEph.4:25.

Men let’s check your readiness. God forbid, but let’s say you find yourself in a situation where you are asked to pick who dies between you and your wife. God expects you to step forward and take the bullet. That is what is in the Bible – that is the kind of love that Jesus is talking about, the love that can sacrifice himself. In other words, a selfish man is not ready to get married. Selfishness and marriage do not go together. If you are a Read the rest of this entry

God’s Heart

‘No, I will not abandon you as orphans –I will come to you’ John 14: 18.

Jesus says ‘…I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to youJohn 14:16-18[NKJV]. Jesus in this portion of scripture was speaking to His disciples saying He will give them another Helper. The word helper in Read the rest of this entry

Be Aware IV

Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure youLuke 10:19.

Fifthly, you must know that you as a child of God you have power over satan and his demons. You must know that you have power as a child of God; which is why the qualification is a child of God. If you are not a child of God well I pray that you become one today because this life is too dangerous. We have all sorts of terrible things happening, you need God on your side. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and Read the rest of this entry

Center Piece

‘Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved’ Acts 4:12.

All you see is not all there is; there is more to life than meets the eye. One truth that stands out in the supernatural is the supremacy of Jesus. Buddha at his death said he is still searching for the truth. Mohammed said he is a prophet pointing to the truth, but Jesus say ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; nobody comes to the Father but by me’. Jesus was not guessing. Unlike Krishna, Jesus did not say if you chant this and that then perhaps you would come to the knowledge of the truth. Jesus said I am the Truth. In the Read the rest of this entry

Senses

‘So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image’ 2 Cor.3:18

As human beings, we interact with our natural world primarily through our physical senses and our minds. The five main senses are touch, smell, sight, taste, and sound. You need to understand that it is through your mind, soul, and physical senses that you interact with your physical world. We interact with the supernatural world primarily with our spiritual senses and our soul. So you need to understand also that spiritually you have the use of your five senses – sight, sound, smell, taste and touch. ‘And Elijah said Read the rest of this entry
