Organize

Luke 9:14-15 “For there were about 5,000 men there. Jesus replied, “Tell them to sit down in groups of about fifty each.” So the people all sat down.” (emphasis added)

To get the best out of your Bible study time, you have to ask questions. There are details that you need to search for to gain better insight. The Bible says Jesus told the disciples to organize the people and the next thing we are told is that they sat down. Read the rest of this entry

Step One

Luke 9:13 “But Jesus said, “You feed them…” “But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. “Or are you expecting us to go and buy enough food for this whole crowd?” (emphasis added).

This scripture is very personal to me, and I will share why. But first, let me remind you that all you need to fulfil your destiny is with you and in you already, even right now. When God’s Favourite House started, we were just a handful of people passionate for God, fired up with a vision. Read the rest of this entry

The Objective

Joshua 1:8 “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”

Luke 9:14-15 “For there were about 5,000 men there. Jesus replied, “Tell them to sit down in groups of about fifty each.”  So the people all sat down.” (emphasis added). It is important to note that the Jewish culture counts men as households. Read the rest of this entry

In You

Gen.1:28 “Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it.” (emphasis added).

We see from today’s scripture reference that when God made man, God blessed them. He from whom I deserve nothing chooses to give me everything, that is the word blessed, Hesed in Hebrew. Read the rest of this entry

Multiply

Luke 13:20-21 “He also asked, “What else is the Kingdom of God like? It is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough” (emphasis added).

Jesus is introducing another concept of the kingdom to us. He introduced the concept of ‘occupy’ and now He is introducing the concept of multiply. He says the Kingdom of heaven is like a yeast [it is little] put in a big measure of flower, and the little yeast multiplies its influence until the whole bucket Read the rest of this entry

Go Now!

Matt.28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (AMP)

Imagine you open your room window one morning and everywhere outside is filled with ice. Then you see four people trying to make it up the icy street, crawling on all fours. They are all progressing steadily, and just as they are approaching the top of the street, one of them gets up too soon. Read the rest of this entry

Root vs. Shoot

Luke 19:13 “And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.” (KJV, emphasis added)

The root is arguably the most important part of the plant. The roots come first and as long as the root remains, the plant remains. But when the root is done, the plant is gone. Grow your roots. When you grow your roots, Read the rest of this entry

The Anchor

Col.2:7 “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”

To occupy until Jesus comes, you first have to take the territory and secondly, be planted. Every Christian should be planted in a local church. There is nothing like a floating or a roving Christian. It does not exist, check the Bible. Read the rest of this entry

The Process

Num.13:30-31 “But Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.”  Then the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against this people, for they are stronger…” (NRSV, emphasis added)

Caleb was not looking at the strength of the people to determine whether he could take the land, Caleb was looking at the strength of His God. Until we get this into our spirit, we remain fearful. You will remain fearful if you look at Goliath and look at yourself. Read the rest of this entry

The Garden

Luke 13:19 “It’s like a single mustard seed that someone took and planted in his garden. That tiny seed grew and became a tree so large that the birds could fly in and make their nests in its branches. (Voice, emphasis added).

How do you establish the Kingdom as a teacher, a writer, an entrepreneur, a solopreneur, or a journalist? Jesus says the tiny mustard seed was planted in the man’s own garden. Luke 13:18-19 Then he said, “How can I picture God’s kingdom for you? What kind of story can I use? It’s like an acorn that a man plants in his front yard. It grows into a huge oak tree with thick branches, and eagles build nests in it.” (MSG, emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry
