Taste And See

‘My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me’ Gal.2:20

It is only the person that has tasted an orange that can convince another person about the sweetness of an orange. Similarly, it is only one who has experienced Jesus that can testify convincingly to another person about Jesus. One sure way you can bring the ultimate gift to those close to you but far from God is to tell your own story. No one knows your story better than you. ‘I don’t know Read the rest of this entry

God’s Ultimate Desire

‘In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy’ 1 Tim.2:8

This season more than any other, God will position people around us that are close to us but far from God. God’s ultimate desire is that ‘men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands’. There are two ways we can go about presenting the ultimate gift to the people around us. We could either bring the ultimate gift to the people or we could bring them to the ultimate gift. Whether we take the Read the rest of this entry

Giving The Ultimate Gift

‘When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them’ Luke 2:17-18 [NIV]

I hope you plan to give gifts this Christmas. Christmas offers an amazing opportunity for everyone to give gifts of love to one another. God gave His Son Jesus and Jesus gave His life. It is because God gave that is why we can even celebrate Christmas today. Now the ball is in our court. What will you give your friends, family, in-laws, neighbors or even your enemies? You Are Not Alone

‘Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. For there are more on our side than on theirs!’ 2Kings.6:16

When God opens your eyes and you see that you are not alone, you will dare things that ordinary men cannot dare. You will go to places that ordinary people cannot go because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. There is more to life than meets the eye and all that you see is not all there is [Luke.2:9]. You are not alone; you need to be open to the supernatural. Elisha Read the rest of this entry

Plans Of Good

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jer.29:11

Have you ever wondered why God takes you through some phases in life? Periods where you know without any doubt that you are walking with God yet you cannot explain the storms. Paul experienced something similar, so relax you are not alone. However, like Paul, you have to continue to see what God’s plan is and go for it. ‘For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They Read the rest of this entry

Don’t Be Tired

‘…Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the ground. So the king picked them up and struck the ground three times. But the man of God was angry with him. You should have struck the ground five or six times! …Now you will be victorious only three times’ 2Kings 13:18-19.

Many of us want glory in certain areas of our life. We want to experience God in new ways but are not willing to pay the price. If you want to experience God’s glory, if you want to experience significant change in your marriage, or your carrier, you have to go on your knees and stay there. Even when you are physically tired and your knees and ankles are hurting you have to remain in Read the rest of this entry

The Law of Beginnings

‘Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin…’ Zec.4:10

It is God’s desire that we start from where we are and move to where He alone can take us. It is called the law of beginnings. Some people tend to ignore the beginning because they believe that the beginning does not determine the end. While this is true in some cases, it is also dangerous in many cases. There are some foundational things that must be sorted before starting any venture and Read the rest of this entry

Commitment vs. Routine

‘And so the Lord says, “These people say they are Mine. They honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. And their worship of Me is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote’ Isa.29:13.

God wants us to be committed in everything we do. He wants us to be committed to Him, to our family, to our jobs, our relationships and career because without commitment we cannot grow. Yet when commitment is done in a such way that it has no meaning anymore, it becomes just a routine.  For instance, a lot of people Read the rest of this entry

Solid Commitment

‘That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified’ Luke 2:8-9

These shepherds had spent their entire day watching over, feeding, and tending to the sheep. Yet at night their commitment to the sheep remained as solid as it was in the morning. They could have abandoned the sheep at night and in the eyes of man they would have been justified. It was in the place of their commitment Read the rest of this entry

Honour God

Honour the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce’ Prov.3:9

God does not need our money but He wants us to honour Him. Why, because there are blessings attached to honouring God. Giving is a way of honouring God [Prov.3:9]. It is wisdom to honour God with our wealth because we know that nothing happens unless God approves it. Yet even with giving some approaches are Read the rest of this entry
