In The Seed

‘As the host of heaven cannot be numbered: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant…’ Jer.33:22 [KJV]

The fifth way to relate with money is Multiply Money. God wants us to multiply money. There are two main strategies for multiplying money that we can pull from the strategies of saving. We save for two main reasons. Not for rainy day or to beat the inflation rate but for investments and for sowing. Saving and sowing are two ways of multiplying money. You multiply money by physically investing the money. Many of us sometimes over estimate how much we will make in an investment on the short term. In fact, that is what leads to a lot of problems. But we underestimate how much we can make in the long term. Over estimating what we will make on the short term is what makes a lot of people fall prey to fraudsters. There is a man that lost his whole life’s savings that we were counseling. They said bring your money and we will give you 20% every month for the next twenty-four months. And at the end of the twenty-four months we will give you your capital back. So the man took all his life savings and gave it to them. Of course the rest is history. An old investment adage says “if it looks too good to be true, it is too good to be true”. If there is an investment that is before you and it looks too good to be true then guess what, it is too good to be true. I am sure there are a lot of books you can read on physically investing your money. I want to teach you about spiritually multiplying your money. I gave you the example of sowing based on the prompting of the Holy Spirit. This is the greatest way to sow, that is, based on the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Some of us, God has put an ‘x’ on an item and tells us to sow that amount but we struggle with it. Why are you struggling with it? If you understand that it is your future that you are securing then you would not struggle with it. Your financial future is in your seed. ‘As the host of heaven cannot be numbered: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant…’ There are a couple of areas in which you sow. Tithing is sowing; the tithe is a seed but it is more than a seed.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me obey Your every prompting to honor God by sowing the seeds He calls for, in Jesus Name.
