The Way Of Men!
“His delight is in the fear of the Lord, and He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears” Isa.11:4 [NKJV]
Physical pleasure is one of the greatest problems that everyone, male and female, have to triumph over. Of all the three, physical pleasure ranks at the top, particularly in our time. The craving for physical pleasure is also known as the lust of the flesh. The third man said, ‘…I now have a wife, so I can’t come’ Luke 14:20. The Bible says that physical pleasure is able to reduce a great man to an ordinary loaf of bread. God forbid! If you ever see your house help eyeballing your husband, then hissing and walking away, know something has gone terribly wrong. That man has been reduced to a loaf of bread and it is because he has given in to physical pleasure. “There are three things which are too wonderful for me, yes, four which I do not understand: The way of an eagle in the air, the way of a serpent upon a rock, the way of a ship in the midst of the sea, and the way of a man with a maid” Prov. 30:18-19 [AMP]. Take note, it has nothing to do with whether the house help is pretty or not. That is why the Bible says it is mysterious. Protect your husband and protect your home; just protect it!
When people get things that they have been believing God for, they behave strangely and it amazes me. I have seen ladies that get married and then become prayer-less; they practically backslide. I often wonder if all the praying they were doing was just to get a husband. But for such people, just give them a few months and they will back in church. Why? It is because of the craving of physical pleasure. A lady once came to us; she had been flowing with the issue of blood for ten years consistently. I was not available to see her but it was the season of our Praise-Chain. And one of my colleagues said to her, ‘you really don’t need to see Pastor, just plug into the praise chain’. That’s how we train our people. If you see Jesus, do you still need to see Pastor? Of course not! So she plugged in by faith and that first day the issue of blood of ten years stopped. She had experienced four husbands abandoning her because of this problem. And she came to Jesus and Jesus had mercy on her and healed her. Then guess what? We stopped seeing her in church. I sent people to check up on her and she said to them, ‘I now have a husband, I can’t come to church’…excuse me. Sound familiar? She said the man likes his food fresh so she has to pamper him. Strange, but true.
Prayer: Father, have mercy on me for all the times I have not thanked You as passionately as I sought You for help. Lord, today, I am saying thank You, in Jesus Name.
