You Will Prevail!

“The Lord is with me, so I will not be afraid. No one on earth can do anything to harm me. The Lord is my helper. I will see my enemies defeated” Ps.118:6-7 [ERV]

Take responsibility for your life. What happens when we raise a generation that is not strong because they are not accustomed to pain? I have not proven it but I can tell you the greater you are as a person or as a leader is directly proportional to your capacity for pain. The greater you become as a leader is directly proportional for your capacity for pain. Statistics shows that seventy five percent of parents in the U.S want homework to be scraped. Now this is the parents we are talking about and not the children. Alarming! Why? It is because they do not want to go through the rigors of sitting with their children and checking their homework. Instead they just want to outsource parenting, put the children in front of the television and let it parent them. It is scary! Hannah was accustomed to pain but she triumphed over pain. You will triumph over pain in Jesus Name. Your children will triumph over pain in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Hannah felt it, she knew it, but she was not crushed [destroyed] by it.

Hannah experienced four pains. The first one was the pain of periodic celebration. Celebration usually births rejoicing right? But it was a source of pain for Hannah. Some of us are experiencing this pain in our lives currently. And when there are family gatherings you do not want to attend because everyone will be asking how much are you contributing, where is your car, don’t you have any children yet, when will you get married? Hannah knew the pain of periodic celebration. “Each year Elkanah would travel to Shiloh to worship and sacrifice to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies at the Tabernacle…” 1 Sam.1:3. And each time it was a reminder to Hannah that something was wrong with her. A reminder that something was missing in her life and that was a source of pain.

The second pain Hannah experienced is the pain of Peninnah. Please read 1 Sam.1:6-7. Some of us we have “Peninnahs” in our lives constantly taunting us. Some “Peninnahs” will taunt you to your face and some will taunt you behind you but you will know they are taunting you. Everyone in the room is laughing but as soon as you enter they all keep quiet. You will prevail because you will get help from above in Jesus Name. “Peninnahs” are very popular but again I say you will prevail over them all, in Jesus Name.

Prayer [song]: I have confidence in You, Jesus. I have confidence in You, Saviour. I have confidence in You, anytime – any day, I have confidence in You, Je-ho-vah. Amen!
