Two-gather

“Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?” Amos 3:3

The Principle of Concerted Action simply states: Unify and bring all elements of your force to work together simultaneously in the achievement of your aims. Unify all the elements of your force and bring them together simultaneously. Bring your forces together and unify the coordination. Let things work in tandem with each other. You might be wondering how this can apply in your life. Well, ensure you come with a journal to your quiet time every day and take notes because the Holy Spirit is taking you on a journey.

The ability to work together with people is so powerful. Skill for skill, I would choose someone that can get along with other people than somebody that cannot. In fact, every organization will choose people they see as team players over their lone rangers, skill for skill. So it is important that you and I learn how to work with people. Great generals are only great because they have excellent officers at every level of command. If you look at any great organization, beyond the great leadership, there are excellent people making things happen. By the grace of God, God’s Favorite House is a great church family. And one of the reasons is that we have excellent people making things happen. And guess what? No one does it alone.

I see a lot of people shooting themselves in the foot because they think that they are lone rangers, or silos, or perhaps Rambo. You know Rambo? Rambo is a one-man army. He does not need anybody. He goes into the jungle and takes out the whole jungle. But everyone needs the help of other talented people. You need help and so do I. God created man in His own image and gave him all the things he needed. But God looked at man and God said this man needs help. So God gave man help.

But is it not ironic that many times when God gives us help, we say to God the help you have given me has caused me trouble? Is it not ironic that when God brings you in relationship with people, instead of you to bring the best out of it, you cause problems for them? Then you go to God and say, this person is giving me trouble. And God says No! This person is to help you.

Prayer: Lord, the same grace You gave to Joseph to work with the people around him at every phase of his life, give unto me also my Father, in Jesus Name.
