1 Tim.5:22 [GW] “Don’t be in a hurry to place your hands on anyone [to ordain him]. Don’t participate in the sin of others. Keep yourself morally pure”

The King James Version for 1Timothy 5:22 reads, “Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be a partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure”. The question to those who are thinking of going into a business is, is the person you are about to partner with worthy? It really does not matter if the person is your brother, or sister, or uncle, or your father. If you enter into a business deal with somebody that is unworthy, you are going to exit crying. In this life, worthiness is totally indispensable.  Sometimes, people complain that they have been praying but God is not saying anything about a particular direction. It is because God is saying, do not forget the things you have been taught already. Is the person worthy?

Personally, I am never in a hurry to appoint church leaders – never! Why? Worthiness! My grandmother would say, “it takes three days to know a thief and it takes seven days to know a witch.” Sometimes discernment comes with time. You just need to watch the person. In God’s Favorite House for instance, for a year we did not appoint any pastors or ministers. And it is because God’s Word says, do not confer honor or authority suddenly on any man. So do not do it otherwise you will be a partaker of his sins.

We are going to learn four things to do, to become worthy and for those who are already worthy, four things to do, to strengthen our worthiness. The first thing is to accept His worthiness. Luke 15:21His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son” [emphasis added]. I pray that everyone that is out of sync with God, will come to his or her senses, in Jesus Mighty Name. The prodigal son admitted that he was no longer worthy. When did he lose his worthiness? Sometimes we try to play it down and say that the boy has always been worthy. But the truth is that the boy feeding pigs is not worthy, sleeping with prostitutes is not worthy. The beautiful thing is that he came to his senses. I pray again that you will come to your senses.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, in any way that I have strayed and become unworthy, I pray that I will regain my senses and receive Your worthiness, in Jesus Name. Amen!
