Sweet Hour

Heb.4: 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

God wants us to come to Him boldly but most times we look at the mistakes we have made and the mess it has created, and we run from God. I am telling you today that the value of your life does not depend on the mess you have made. The value of your life is dependent upon the price that Christ has paid. When you do not see yourself in the light of the mess and the mistakes you have made, and you look at the cross and seeing how much you are worth [Jesus dying for you], your spiritual awareness rises. You are actually able to connect to what God has for you. But if you beat yourself down, the enemy will attempt to drive you into a hole. But that will not be your portion in the Mighty Name of Jesus. The value of your life does not depend on the mess that you have made but upon the price that Jesus has paid.

The Pleasure of Prayer: At the end of it all, we will discover that the pleasure of prayer is beyond answers to prayers. We will discover that the pleasure we derive from prayer is beyond the answer we have seen; that the pleasure of prayer is really in finding God and finding God for ourselves. You are praying for a promotion and by the time you get that promotion, you will discover that what gives you the most joy is not the fact that you have been promoted. But it is because this process has taken you to a higher level in God. Maybe you are trusting God for your business, or for a child, or for your health. By the time God heals you, by the time God blesses you, by the time God takes you through it, if you follow the process properly, you will discover that the greatest joy will be that you have found God.

But many times, we allow the things that we expect to hinder us from experiencing all that God wants us to experience. So do not let what you expect keep, you from what God wants you to experience. And by the time that expectation is met, you will discover that you have experienced God. It was something else that Jacob took to God in prayer, but by the time he was done, he said God is in this place and I did not know it. At the end of the day, it is the pleasures of God that fill our hearts because God is enough; more than enough!

Prayer [song]: All I need is You Lord, is You Lord, all I need is You. All I choose is You Lord, is You Lord, All I choose is You. All I need is You! Amen!
