The Priesthood

Rev.5:10 “And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth”

To go forward, the first thing you must do is to build your body, the temple of the Holy Spirit. The priesthood sustains the temple and the priesthood is based on repetition. This means that the duties of a priest are repetitive. It is almost like a list of what to do daily and at different times of the day. So, for you to take care of your temple there are things you have to do repetitively. And whether you like it or not, whether you feel like it or not, you have to be consistent at doing these things.

I personally like to study the life of great men regardless of their beliefs. I like to study how they lived, their decision making process, and the likes. And for every one of these great men of God, great men of industry, I have discovered a common denominator. And the common thing to them is routine. They call it different things; some people call it their daily rituals, the spiritual ones call it their quiet time. There are things they must do every day regardless of how they feel. Take Steve Jobs for instance, he was so systemized that he wore the same turtleneck outfit every day. And when he was asked why; he said he did not want to waste cerebral power thinking about what to wear every day. So he made the decision once and for all.

Mark Zuckerberg does the same thing – just one type of t-shirt. Meanwhile, every other person is posting pictures on Facebook with different outfits. But the person controlling the Facebook platform, wears only one grey t-shirt every day of his life. Martin Luther will tell you that his days are too busy so he has to start each day with three hours of prayer. For others, it is a smoothie or a cup of coffee each morning and then a power walk when he meditates.

Everyone that will be great must learn the power of personal priesthood. You must learn how to attend to God and attend to your own altar every day. Guess what is common to average people? Average people only do things when they feel like it and when they don’t, they won’t do it. You will not be average, in Jesus Name [say amen]. Prioritize your altar and your personal priesthood and both must exist independent of your feelings.

Prayer: Father, I declare in the Name of Jesus Christ that I will be ruled by the Spirit of God and not by my feelings, happenings or seasons, in Jesus Name. Amen!
