Take Action I
Ex.17:9 “Moses called for a young leader named Joshua. Moses (to Joshua): Select some of our best men, and go fight against the soldiers of Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand at the crest of that hill overlooking the battlefield with God’s staff in my hand” [Voice, with emphasis].
The beauty about God’s Word is that the more you engage it, the more it engages you and the more it accomplishes in and through you. Please read Exodus 17:8-13. The second thing we see is that the Power to Prevail is released when you Take Action. You are the general of your life and great generals take action. Moses did not just wait for Amalek. Moses took action and initiated the battle against the Amalekites.
For you to prevail it is not enough to be born of God; you have to get up and take action. Every time the enemy tries to attack you, you must always respond. This is a principle of war. I am telling you this, by God’s grace, as someone that is not a novice in spiritual warfare. You have to respond with greater fire power.
At one of our mid week services back in the day, the Holy Spirit told me that some people in the service had demons living in them. So I told the ushers to shut the door and I called for such people to come forward and Jesus delivered them. However, when I got home that day I was very ill. Meanwhile, unknown to me, God had stopped my friend from going to work and instructed him to pray for me. He said he prayed for me from morning until evening that day. He did not know what was going to happen. I did not even know what was going to happen in that service but he obeyed. May you have people that God can tell to pray for you and they will obediently do so. But it does not stop there; you too have to be one of such people.
I went to the hospital to check what was wrong and they told me I had a high percentage count of bacteria in my body. Then my friend called to find out what happened to me and told me his experience. So I shut down, went to a hotel and opened spiritual fire. The bacteria went back the same way it came. You have to respond when the enemy brings battle to you. God is the only one that sees a battle and does not run. That same God is backing you up so why should you be running? You have to stand and take action!
Prayer: Holy Spirit, teach my hands to war and my fingers to battle. You equip the horse for battle, fortify me and equip me for battle, in Jesus Name. Amen!
