Force Multiplier

Ex.17: 10Joshua did exactly as Moses had instructed him to do. He gathered the strongest men he could find and fought against the soldiers of Amalek. Meanwhile, Moses, Aaron, and Hur climbed to the top of the hill” [with emphasis]

The Power to Prevail is Multiplied in Community. Ex.17:9 Moses called for a young leader named Joshua. Moses (to Joshua): Select some of our best men, and go fight against the soldiers of Amalek…” [with emphasis]. Joshua could not go and fight all by himself. Moses did not expect Joshua to go alone. Joshua needed to attend to this assignment with a team and that was exactly what he did. Even Moses did not go up on the hill alone.

One of the oldest tricks in the enemy’s books {it is amazing that people still fall for it}, is that the enemy tricks people into fighting alone. Do not be tricked into fighting alone. No one prevails alone – no one! I have friends, people that I can link up with and battle. Do you? Have you responded to the call to join a life group and a department in church? It is so that you can exist in a community where people know you and can pray with you. No one prevails alone!

The Bible reinforces and shows us many examples of the power to prevail multiplied in community. Ecc.4:9 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble… 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken”. Again I am saying to you, do not be tricked into fighting alone. No one prevails alone. If you see someone has prevailed – check, or someone has been successful – check! No one prevails alone. The Bible says, “One will chase a thousand and two will put ten thousand to flight”.

The Power to Prevail flows through a Single Line of Command. Ex.17:10 “Joshua did exactly as Moses had instructed him to do. … 12 When Moses became too tired to hold his hands up any longer, Aaron and Hur took a stone and sat him down on it. Then both men stood beside Moses, one on each side, holding his hands up and keeping them steady until sunset. 13 In the end, Joshua and the men of Israel defeated Amalek and his soldiers with the sword.” The Power to Prevail flows through a Single Line of Command!

Prayer: Holy Spirit, build me so that I can add value to the people around me spiritually and physically, plus tactically and strategically, in Jesus Name. Amen!
