Luke 1: 46 “…Oh, how my soul praises the Lord. 47 How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! 48 For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed. 49 For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me”
Do not live an ordinary life and do not be afraid of God using you. A lot of you reading this today are really powerful but you cannot continue to do nothing. I pray that you will change today, in Jesus Name. You need to stretch yourself even in your giving. You cannot continue to give only what you are comfortable with; stretch yourself! If you only give what is comfortable then how can you see the miraculous? I always stretch my giving. There were seasons in my life that my wife thought I was crazy but now we are on the same page in giving. As a church, we always stretch our giving.
You have to put yourself in a position where it is either God comes through for you or you will be in big trouble. I love being in that kind of situation because that is where I see miracles happen. Guess what? God wanted us to start God’s Favourite House; I emptied my account and paid for two services in a hall at the then Protea hotel. I did not know what was going to happen next; either God comes through for us or it is over. We moved into a hall at Scintilla events center, then to KFA events center, and then we moved into a hall at Orchid hotel. The cost of running church at Orchid hotel every week was huge but it was a miracle; every week for two years. Guess what? God came through every time, every time!
I will always put myself in a position where it is either God comes through or I am in deep trouble. Taking our land as a church, it will be seven years on the twelfth of September; some people heard the cost of this land, got upset and stopped coming to church. They thought we were crazy but we know we are not crazy. We have a very big God and He is always by our side; He never leaves our side. Our God does impossible things for us.
Mary’s response to what will scare most of us, was to praise God [Luke 1:46-49]. That is what I call delighting in God’s power. Mary was told this impossible thing was about to happen and she composed a song. She heard what most people would have sleepless night about and she began to rejoice. Mary is teaching us that worship is the antidote to worry.
Prayer: My soul magnifies You Jesus, my spirit will consistently praise Your Name. I rejoice to see the things You are doing with my life, I rejoice in You Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen!
