Think Trans-generational

Heb.7:10 “For although Levi wasn’t born yet, the seed from which he came was Abraham’s body when Melchizedek collected the tithe from him.”

In Abraham, Levi paid tithe. Levi is about fourth generations from Abraham. A lot of people reading this today are first generation Christians. You are laboring but you are not seeing as much result. Keep on laboring; do not get tired because your children, your grandchildren, your children yet unborn, will see the result. In Abraham, Levi paid tithe. There are seeds you will sow today that the harvest will keep pouring in for generations. Unfortunately, a lot of people are too myopic. God is trans-generational.

A lot of the times we labor and we think we will see the fruit but the truth is that we will not. As many as the miracles are that we are seeing in our time, there are still things we will not see that it is only our children that will see it. But we have to be faithful. There are things that people struggle with in ministry; for example the miraculous. But by God’s grace, I do not struggle with it because my grandmother has dealt with all the curses and I am just flowing in the overflow. Do not get this wrong; this is not arrogance. I am anointed and that is just how it is. You need to understand that the grace of God that is upon you will be multiplied upon your children. Whether they like it or not they will be mightier than you.

But the danger for the second and third generation Christians is arrogance. They tend to think they are better than other people. And it is because while other people are praying for hours and getting little results, they pray for one minute and see an avalanche of results. Then they think you do not have to fast or pray. That will be taking a foolish position. I have heard a second-generation Christian say he does not need to pray. I sat him down and explained to him how his mother had labored in the place of prayer and broken a lot of things. As a result, he knocks on one door and ten doors open, literarily. I told him not to destroy himself or become conceited. A time will come when you will begin to pay for it and then your children will suffer for it.

Prayer: Father, I ask that You will remember me and my generations unborn for good for the sacrifices I have made, in Jesus Name. Amen!
